Obama quotes Alinsky in speech to young Israelis

"Channels theme of 'Rules for Radicals' book dedicated to Lucifer"

JERUSALEM – In his address in Jerusalem today, President Obama channeled Saul Alinsky, citing the radical community organizer’s defining mantra as he urged young Israelis to “create change” to nudge their leadership to act.

Obama told a crowd of college students at Jerusalem’s main convention center that Israel “has the wisdom to see the world as it is, but also the courage to see the world as it should be.”

One of Alinsky’s major themes was working with the world as it “is” to turn it into the world as “it should be.”

In his defining work, “Rules for Radicals,” which he dedicated to “the first rebel,” Lucifer, Alinsky used those words to lay out his main agenda. He asserted radical change must be brought about by working within a system instead of attacking it from the outside.

“It is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. That means working in the system,” wrote Alinsky.

Obama related his Alinsky quote to a suggestion that “peace” begins with the people and not just the leadership – a statement some may relate to community organizing.

He further suggested Israelis do an end-run around the country’s leadership and “create the change that you want to see.”

The president said: “That is where peace begins – not just in the plans of leaders, but in the hearts of people; not just in a carefully designed process, but in the daily connections that take place among those who live together in this land, and in this sacred city of Jerusalem.”

He continued: “Speaking as a politician, I can promise you this: Political leaders will not take risks if ............

"Obama quotes Alinsky in speech to young Israelis"

The article does not say how the young Israelis responded. My guess is that they do not have the luxury of believing the Obama nonsense.

I’m with you. I think most Israeli young people see the danger all around them. Obama’s used to talking to young people here, Jews and non-Jews alike who have always lived cushy lifestyles and don’t know what it’s like to be threatened on a daily basis. They are clueless, his constituency.

Did his speech to the “Palestinians” include any such language?

Of course not.

All that Alinsky trash talk is geared to sweet talking the empty heads in the mainstream to suspend their sense of reality and go along with his insanely destructive agenda.

This page is taken from the standard operating procedure on how communists
snake charm the masses into giving them power.

Then comes the camps, the reign of terror and the mass murders.

Yet here it was lauded as an amazing speech bla, bla bla...

Let us hope these young Israelis were not hoodwinked like so many college kids here were/are with his community organzier Saul Alinsky Bu!!$-hit.

It is almost funny he held no job other than rabble rousing, and trying to change things and now he wants to try it in Israel.

I'd love to see who ( Progessive Organizations ) is working behind the scenes, and who's money ( Soro's ) is pouring in to Israel to nudge them into Obama's future.

Wouldn't suprise me if Van Jones ends up their soon...

Or, as Fat Teddy put it, eulogizing and quoting his brother in 1968,

"Some men see things as they are and say why.
I dream things that never were and say why not."

I say, WTF?

We need no Alinskys, no Kennedys, no stinkin' Obamas!

obama’s not any smarter than the idiots who vote for him. He’s a puppet that does what he’s told. He can quote all kinds of things. But he hasn’t written one original sentence in his life. Thus the teleprompter.

"Some men see things as they are and say why. I dream things that never were and say why not."

Late Libertarian/Gay talk show host from Boston David Brudnoi noted after reading Atlas Shrugged and becoming a Libertarian and hearing JFK's "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" it hit him as Fascistic and hated that line...

You know the more you think about it, it may be prudent to look @ anything the Kennedy's, Clinton's etc say that is quotable and find out what is the quotes real roots and where are they going with it....

“Hebrew Spring”
After all, look at how well “arab spring” is working out, especially in Egypt and Libya

What next, kangaroo court and a trial for Netanyahu?

Have the Jordanians and Saudis yet invited JugEars to come speak and incite their university students to populist uprising against the governments?

“Obama told a crowd of college students”

Carefully chosen college students I’l bet. Even in Israel they have their share of FAR LEFT college students. I heard on talk radio that students from the more conservative colleges weren’t invited. In other words, he was playing to a well planned audience.

Think about it. Does Zero address Liberty University here in the US? No he goes to Columbia or another leftie college/university. Don’t think for a minute that his audience was regular average Israeli students!!!! Everything he does is stage and orchestrated!

This could backfire on Obama:

Israel “has the wisdom to see the world as it is, but also the courage to see the world as it should be.”

I read this as, "the world around you is deadly, militant, radical and Islamic, but it could be a beautiful, smooth, peaceful sea of glass. It's up to you."

unfortunately for them, they are surrounded by Arabs who dream of the world as it should be, and to them, its a world without Israel. but hey, its a feel good warm and fuzzy moment for Obammie., who doesnt have to live with the consequences.

I first saw this clip on LOD last night (MSNBC) and Lawrence was making the argument how Brave Obama is to go over to Isreal and pitch to them making peace with a Palestinian state, much of which that new state would be right where the Israeli state is now, and then how he got cheered not booed for it.
Better yet he said in the US the GOP would have booed him for the same speech claiming to represent the Israelis (you smell it?)

I immediately noticed something about the audience. All dumb college age kids, the same type who believe Obama’s BS here. Its was a typical Obama staged event for propaganda use back here. ('that Obama is the prince of peace')

Message to Larry : ” Brave would have been O giving a speech to Palestinians and telling them to cut the crap because no-one likes a terrorist”. Maybe add that they shouldnt blame others for their condition or expect anyone else to make their lives better for them, that is their job.

There were older people in the audience. A very few and they were not applauding. Typical Obama, a coward.

Good analysis. This Alinsky style 0bama-BS is for Americans to be sucked in by. This is 0bama doing more campaigning but abroad.

Hillary was also an Alinsky acolyte

Yeah I figured that. I should have included the ‘sarc’ tag at the end of my post.

My contempt for this man exceeds even my own expectations. That’s as nicely as I can put it in public.

If Obama can cause some progress to occur in the Israeli-Palestine conflict they I’ll give him credit. Sounds like he has a strategy of (a) assuring Israel that we will not allow them to lose their homeland, and (b) getting younger Israelis to see that the current situation is no good and Israel can safely withdraw from some of the land they captured in ‘67 without worring about losing their country.

I thought his speech to the younger-Israeli audience was good.

Obama’s going to make people on both sides angry. We can’t judge his trip and other measures he takes, until months from now.

There’s nothing I like about Obama’s governance of our own country but that doesn’t mean he can do no good.
