Assault weapons ban won't be in Dems' gun bill (Boo Hoo Frankenstein)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has decided that a proposed assault weapons ban won't be part of a gun control bill the Senate plans to debate next month, the sponsor of the ban said Tuesday, a decision that means the ban stands little chance of survival. Instead, Sen. Dianne Feinstein said she will be able to offer her ban on the military-style firearms as an amendment. Feinstein is all but certain to need 60 votes from the 100-member Senate to prevail, but she faces solid Republican opposition and likely defections from some moderate Democrats.

Rope-a-dope.

While everybody looks at the AWB, the Senate will, with little fanfare, pass a variety of lesser measures meant to inhibit free access to guns.

Its like Lucy and the football.

Pay no attention to the liberal scum behind the curtain.

While we're celebrating what won't be in the Dim's gun bill, do we know what will be in the bill?

perhaps "reasonable" stuff like "universal background checks" which will register all firearm transactions, so that when the ban does eventually pass DiFi can say "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in" and know where they all are?

Beware any "common sense gun reform." We've already had "common sense" gun reform in 1968.

Good news. Now if MA can defeat Linky’s bill I can breath a sigh of relief. My state rep (a Republican) says it will likely not pass as written much less make it out of committee in it’s current form.

When I bought my shotgun in PA they did a background check. When I bought my Saiga in MA they did a background check.

Already there and done my friend.

What Reid is doing is providing cover for his communist friends. They don’t want to cast a vote against the bill. And he’s also providing cover for the republican communists. None of them want to vote against the bill.

I heard it isn’t going to get much support but, beware of the handshake that hides a snake. As far as difi goes, I guess that’s what you get when you mess with a sixth grader. She couldn’t even count oh hariy screed this time but I’m pretty sure their gonna put some rose water on something so we’ll be fooled. Not so much these days. Instant communications isn’t maybe such a good thing from their viewpoint after all. Sometimes you’re the biter, sometimes you’re the bitee.

Disappointing.
I really wanted EVERY senator to have to vote on that. Especially those running in 2014.

I fear that the GOP is going to be swept from the house in 2014, and deservedly so.

However, with no real conservatives to replace them, the house will be overtaken by rats, and at that time...all Hell is going to break loose.

Rats don’t die this easy. Maybe because of the UN treaty?
Hmm. Interesting.

If you believe this you’re pretty gullible. Harry never said this was the end for the bill...it could be added as an amendment to other bills or brought up again in the wee hours of the morning. I wouldn’t say its a done deal at all.

It is not what the enemy says that concerns me, it is what they don’t say that should be feared.

Their intent has not changed.

Harry Reid has simply found another way to skin the same cat.... and he just hasn’t told us, yet.

Chucky couldn’t pass his own background check. Remember when he was in the House and Tony Weiner was his chief AA? Dude’s got some stuff on him. And he wants to run for Congress again (knowing that New Yorkers will vote for a madman if he’s got a D next to his name)

I do not care whether they leave it out or not. Shame on the democrat party for their attempt to exploit the children's murder to get a political agenda done. Shame on all of them and the state governor of maryland too.

This matter shows of what democrats really think of the US Constitution. It shows their willingness to criminalize law abiding citizens for the liberal agenda....they have no respect for the constitution they have sworn to uphold.

I will work to defeat every democrat in elections forever.

HEY, THERE, DIANE.....

Boo-hoo, you've got me cryin' for you
And as you sit there and sigh
Di-Fi
I know you can't believe that it's true
Boo-hoo
Those little gun games you play
You lose
Thank you, Senor Cruz
And as you sit 'midst a snit and a stew
Here's some crocodile tears for you
Boo-hoo, boo-hoo, boo-hoo!

I live in the state of California and for the life of me I cannot understand why young democrats voted for this old woman? In fact, the democrats here supported every old candidate, and rejected the younger ones. The democrats in California have become the “Old Party” of “Old Ideas, Old People, Old policies” that are not keeping up with the state and the peoples needs. The “Old Party” is the elite rich and the corporation owners of California. Career politicians that are bought and paid for by the richest of the state. Democrats of California are the “Old Rich Peoples” party
