You make good points, but to me the election was decided by the Dems purchasing it with entitlements. That’s how Baraq was able to pull off a win with a terrible economy.

No, Obama won it because of changing demographics fueled by immigration and minority birth rates. The Dems received 95% of the black vote, 73% of the Asian vote, and 71% of the Hispanic vote. Romney won 59% of the non-Hispanic white vote including those aged 18-29. In other times 59% would have assured victory.

In 1970 89% of the electorate were non-Hispanic whites. Today it is 66% and that will decline to 50% by 2042. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG. Each year that passes brings a new cohort of 18 year old voters comprised more and more of minorities.

Demography is destiny. We have reached a tipping point. It has been in the works since the 1965 Immigration Act.

Yes demography is destiny but those voters didn’t vote for BO because they are social libs.

They voted for him beacause of the ‘safety net’ that gov’t has been providing. They don’t want it to stop. Surveys revealed this shortly after the election. Social issues and amnesty are not at the top of the list, but free stuff is.
