Please help w/ petition for Obama to stop charging for vacations while the sequester is in effect
White House Petitions Page ^ | 3/7/13

Please help with this petition currently on the White House petitions page. Once it hits 150 signatures, it gets bumped to the main page:

Mr. President, stop charging U.S. taxpayers for your personal and family vacations while the sequester is in effect.

We object to the President charging taxpayers for his vacations, since he has now imposed sequester cuts on the military and his own personal fortune of $12 Million is more than enough to cover his costs. Since 2009, the President and his family have spent tens of millions of taxpayer dollars for “working” vacations to Hawaii, golf outings, and trips for his wife and children around the world. As taxpayers, we find it unconscionable for a multimillionaire to bill us for his vacation costs, while telling our military to make do with less. We ask that; (1) the President and his family stop using taxpayer-funded military transport for vacations, or (2) the President personally reimburse the U.S. Treasury for all costs associated with his vacations, including transportation and salaries.

how about pay for his own vacations period? He is paid to work and still collects salary while on vacation, so the costs of his vacation should be picked up by him

“I’m not signing up for Obama’s “enemies list””

I agree. This is the first time in my life I am paranoid about what my President can/will do.

I am sure he pays something out of pocket for his vacations.

What we need is to stop paying for security and travel in Air Force One that is not on official business.

By that I don’t mean campaigning and traveling to tell his lies. I mean real official business.

Groun the Wookie, she doesn’t need to go anywhere to plot her machinations, she has the Media to do that for her.

While waiting in a doctor’s office for my husband last week, I picked up an old (is there any other kind?) People magazine. There was an interview People did with the “two” of them in December.

Her “goal” during a second term is to see every national park in the US. His “goal” is to visit more foreign countries with the family accompanying him. They really have their priorities for the country in order!

Couldn’t help but wonder if they EVER did any traveling before they got to the WH! So kind of the voters to give them the opportunity!

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration hit a sour note by canceling a traditional Marine Corps Band performance yesterday at the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Rocky Point, NY, blaming “sequestration” budget cuts.

“We’re political pawns,” fumed Joe Cognitore, commander of the Rocky Point VFW Post, which co-sponsored the parade.

You are probably correct. However I noticed the sign up’s are very low. Unlike other surveys. Maybe other freepers feel the same way. Just sayin.

I heard that on one vacation, he rubbed his face and said “My beard is really getting thick.” Michelle then slapped him silly.
