Theres nothing more embarrassing for union bosses than their own unionized staff striking against them or, in this case, threatening to strike.
In San Francisco, SEIU staff, represented by the left-wing Communications Workers of America, has been without a contract since their contract expired last September.
SEIU boss Roxanne Sanchez, according to the San Francisco Bay Guardian, is trying to get her union staff to give concessions on their pensions and health care.
Last week, after months without a contract, 94% of the SEIUs own union staff voted to strike.

LOL.....Oh’ the irony....
I no longer have any compassion towards unions
I can’t stop laughing. This is hilarious! I couldn’t have made this up.
They should have outsourced them!
It might be a symbolic softball sweetheart choreograph, though. Just to let the world “see their sincerity.” Let’s see this walkout paralyze them for weeks and then we’ll believe they’re sincere.
Another sign of liberal infighting?
Some FReepers have speculated that Dems have written off Republicans as a credible opponent, and the internal purges have begun.
Still ain’t it funny when the dog-fleas get their own fleas that are also hollering “unfair”?
This Obama re-win in the face of the neutral plebiscite sampling favoring Mitt Romney may have rendered them a bit cocky... you have a point.
LOL! If they actually strike the union should hire scabs. ROTFLOL!!
Actually strikes of staff members against the labor union they work for does happen it is not a rare event.
However, for SEIU staff members to strike against the SEIU is
poetic justice.
In the interest of full disclosure: I am the president of a small faculty union in a college in Maine. We are represented the the Maine State Employees Association, MSEA, which is part of the SEIU. Most of the faculty are fairly conservative so needless to say we have had some interesting debates with the MSEA (SEIU) officials.
I believe the SEIU has been sued for strikebreaking in the past but I’m not going to dig it up now.
Yeah, drive them out of business!
The counterpoint to this argument is that the regime is converting the (successful) Obama campaign machine and its massive financial network to attack the 2014 House elections
Both can be true, I guess.
Why would you in the first place have compassion for Marxists?
And they will be asking, “Doesn’t anyone miss us”?
silence.......................................
