We all would rather hear Boehner say the right thing all the time. I doubt it will happen. So bearing that in mind and also bearing in mind he's still here at least until Nov. of 2014 and mostly likely after that, what course of action do you recommend?

The media they are listening to is utterly against Republicans on emotional issues. We aren’t going to be able to change the media, but advertising is a tried & true method of selling.

Young people are going to bear the brunt of the horrible policies initiated by Obama & the left. Every time a new Obamacare tax goes into effect, we need to broadcast that fact. Every time a Dem asks for new taxes, we need to make it known. Republicans STILL don’t know how to fight. As someone else said on this thread, they fight dirty. We need to go after them. Instead we’re polite & we let them get away quite literally with murdering our economy.

Sooner or later (hopefully sooner) the young will realize that they are the ones who will pay for it.

I think she just was allowed to rattle on and babble the way the Left MSM lets these lying traitors just replay the “bush lied..”mantra, just to keep it alive.

I wish I had all the answers. All I know is to post the best I can come up with and then go back to work.

Brent Bozzel of The American Spectator had a good take on Boehner. Baehmer promised to stop ObamaCare - Like ALL RINO’s he lied. The CR (Continuing Resolution) fully funds Obamacare. And so it goes - The Frogs in the pot are starting to feel the heat, but still these frogs in the pot do not feel it important enough to do anything about it. (as in continuing to support RINO’s in the Republican Leadership)

Secondly - On Friday’s Rush’s show, a young man asked Rush about the difference between “old” and “current” Democrats. “Old” being 1960’s-1970’s - People like Scoop Jackson. One of the comments from this young man. McCain is not a RINO, he is a “old” Democrat. How true.

Limited G’ment, or enjoy socialist slavery. It is a war we need to fight

Agree with everything you say about Palin. She is the gift, right in front of our eyes.

So “we” don’t take her seriously anymore because why? The media and GOPe has marginalized her? Reagan was in that position once or twice.

Still we cheer Mel Gibson’s Braveheart even while they are drawing and quarteriung him.

We must get behind and support this brave and capable woman.

Like I said I just don’t have all the answers. Seems there was a group that almost got rid of Boehner as speaker not too long ago?

Agreed! Lighting a fire under our reps butts and doing the advertising suggested by twotone seem to be great starts.

It’s Wall Street Journal, using it to show the data that all those “healthy 170,000 jobs” were an increase in part-time jobs, looking at the inverse effect, 276,000 full-time jobs are gone.

Some of the comment regarding the new Pope give me hope for the Catholic Church. Comments like withholding communion to professing Catholic politicians who publicly support abortion is new and welcome return to Catholicism. A little fire and brimstone are in order.

The likes of the former Boston Cardinal who did nothing about the Kennedys will indeed meet the devil. For these are the people who sanctioned or looked the other way during the 70’s church sex problems.

For THE most succinct, short summary of the YEARS (since clinton)of the overwheliming consensus on Saddams weapons of WMD and the bipartison VOTE to hit Iraq cause of that...read
stepehn Knotts in WSJ:

“When Everyone Agreed About Iraq “
For years before the war, a bipartisan consensus thought Saddam possessed WMD.

the Reps couldn’t defend themselves if they faced a 6yr old with a sling shot and they had an arsenaul of “assault ‘ weapons!

"I hear that stay home myth coming from a lot of people including Rush. The fact is that Romney received a million votes more in 2012 than McCain did in 2008."

I concur, Rush may be misinformed. There was early talk about low vote totals, but so much early voting meant election day totals were low, but I understood another 5 million or so rolled in during the ensuing couple of weeks.

It's an important point to be settled. My final impression that the number of conservatives who withheld their vote for Romney was relatively small.

Any freepers here who can shed more light ? It seems your point of Romney with a million more votes than McCain basically answers the question, but is there something I'm overlooking ?

Lurking. But usually the thread is so far advanced, it doesn’t seem worth adding my 2 cents. Kind of quiet today, though... :-)

You’re referring to Bernard Law. And didn’t I read something about the new pope banning law from attending church services with him?

Yup DZ.

Aw man, Biden....

....every year this guy goes to church and gets ashes on his head. Then in some way he gets on TV...it’s so in my face.

There does seem to be a quiet but hopeful joyousness in the Catholic community but don’t go by me. I live in the county that kicked out Mike Castle for Christine O’Donnell.

Got a questions for Catholics here....this new pope, is he the same...what...”order”?../.as my priests?

Hold on...I really don’t know how that works but our priest today made some comment about being Jesuit. As I understand it, he is the first Jesuit “order” pope?

My priests dress in black with a white collar. Or do all priests wear this sort of thing?

I am trying not to sound too stupid here.

;)

The media they are listening to is utterly against Republicans on emotional issues. We aren’t going to be able to change the media, but advertising is a tried & true method of selling.

You are not selling cars or toothpaste. You are selling a political philosophy that more and more Americans reject. This isn't the same country as 1970 when one in 21 was foreign born compared to one in 8 today. In 1970 about 89% of the population were non-Hispanic whites compared to 66% today. CA today is what America will look like by 2050. How many ads will convince CA to go Rep? In fact, by 2050 there may be no Reps in CA's congressional delegation as the number of CA Reps in Congress continues to decline.

I see the same thing happening in VA, now a purple state on its way to being a blue state. 30% of the population of Fairfax County, the largest in the state is now foreign born. When Kerry won Fairfax County in 2004, it was the first time 40 years that had occurred. Obama racked up even larger margins of victory as the county becomes more and more Dem despite being one of the three richest counties in America.

We have an aging population with 10,000 people retiring daily and will continue to do so for the next 20 years. By 2030 one in five will be 65 or older, twice what it is now. They will become more and more dependent on government services as it is apparent that a large majority of Americans have not prepared for retirement. They also vote in larger numbers than the young. And don't forget that the young are becoming more and more comprised of minorities.

Sooner or later (hopefully sooner) the young will realize that they are the ones who will pay for it.

The young are products of our liberal education system. They don't see the US in the same way as the rest of us. They are more liberal socially and are willing to trade security for personal liberties, especially young single women. With out of wedlock birthrates for blacks at 71% and Hispanics at 50% coupled with huge school drop out rates, we are creating a huge and growing permanent underclass that will depend on Big Government to take care of them. They will vote Democrat.
