I remember that early in the Iraq war, the New York Times tried to embarrass the Bush Administration by publishing an article saying that our troops had lost some WMDs they were guarding.
I've been looking for that article and several searches have not located it. Does anyone else remember that? Why can't I find it? Has the Times stricken it? Does anyone know where I might locate it?
I remember reading that bull crap but I don’t have the article. The other thing most people have forgotten about Rush never even mentions it. That is in the run up to the war the Democrats tried to make George W Bush look like he was unprepared and stupid. They accused him of dragging his feet and delaying sending the troops. Thats when everyone wanted to go kick some ass. Then a little later the Democrat plan changed and war once again became evil and the Dems had to reverse course and blame the war on Bush. The only reason that Bush had to delaywas because Billy Jeff Clintoon had destroyed US Forces and made a shambles of the military.
ping.
HANS! How many times do I have to tell you, we dont have any weapons of mass destwuction.
Was that the yellow cake that was sent to Canada?
No, I think that’s another excellent article though.
I did find this one, but it’s not the one I was looking for:
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/03/13/international/middleeast/13loot.html?_r=0
Was it small items or large items? A few fighters were ‘lost’ when sandstorms covered them up.
I do remember that story and also one about a convoy of about 20 Russian trucks leaving Iraq that were stopped by our soldiers but ordered to be allowed through. No word on what those trucks were carrying.
I believe Bill Gertz first reported the Russian trucks, but many publications picked that up. That wasn’t hard to find.
The Russian trucks took something from Iraqi military weapons facilities and drove to Syria. Our satellite intel picked that up.
Remember when Israel and Syria had a skirmish a few years ago and the liberals were all fretting that Israel would move troops into Syria. I wonder if they were afraid that the Israelis would find Saddam’s WMDs.
People forget that in the afternath of the Iraq invasion, the British discovered records in Bashra that detailed the transfer of Iraq’s WMD programs to Libya/Quadaffi....The Bush Administration allowed the Brits to break the news and confront the Libyans......The results is that Quadaffi surrendered the program to the US.....His/Saddam’s Nucleur prog. now reside in Oak Ridge, Tenn.......
The lefty media steadfastly refuses to acknowledge these WMDs.
It was Gertz on the Syrian border in the Washington times.
And many after him.
The name al-Qaqaa helped. It led to this, which references the story:

And a search yielded this:

Just ask D Rumsfeld, he sold most of em to him.
