The reason people are sick of the GOP is because they have no moral compass.

They have no convictions. They are not trustworthy.

Had he not thought of the parents of gay children, before he made a stand?

In what , was his opinion of gay marriage based, in the first place?

More “good for me, but not for thee”.

If Portmans son announced an inclination towards young children or animals, would Portman change his views on those morals as well to make his son happy?

His son needs professional help.

give up on preventing gay marriage....like abortion, those who are fierce against it must live their lives accordingly....the AMish and Mennonites have lived well in this corrupt society and I think we're all going to have to learn that too.....

there are changes going on like a huge rock rolling downhill.....we can't stop it...but we can move out of the way from being crushed....

true conservatives should have basic govt tenets....strong defense, balanced budgets with small govt, and borders that actually are borders...

now that the sheeple idiotic voters in my state legalizes weed, and gay marriage, all I got to say is at least make tax money on the deal....

It shouldn't even matter what his personal opinion is. He represents the people of Ohio. If he fails to represent them, he has to be defeated.

That’s the real tragedy of this. He actually admitted he ‘ll change his positions based on his familiy members behavior. Damn his constituents and the platform he ran on, if his son likes getting railed by men at Yale it must be good for America. And another thing—all of US dumping on Portman should hold Cheney to the same standard.
