3rd straight night of rioting in Brooklyn (Over young man shot by police)
American Thinker ^ | 03/14/2013 | Rick Moran

Posted on 03/14/2013 7:37:45 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

An incident involving a teenager who was shot by police after he pointed a .38 at them has enraged Brooklynites and caused three straight nights of rioting.

From NY Daily News:

At least 46 demonstrators were arrested along Church Ave. in East Flatbush. Police struggled to control a hostile crowd that broke away from a planned peaceful vigil for Kimani (Kiki) Gray, 16, killed by police on Saturday night.

Gray's sister Mahnefeh was among those arrested. A police officer suffered a gash in the face when a tossed brick hit him, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said, and a window was smashed in an inspector's car.

"They didn't have to kill him," Makaeo Williams, 18, said as police on motorcycles tracked alongside him. "I'm feeling mad inside. I'm angry. That's why I'm out here." Many in the community contest police allegations that Gray pointed a gun at cops when he was shot during a confrontation with two plainclothes officers on E. 52nd St. Saturday night. Those suspicions on the street intensified Wednesday when an autopsy report revealed Gray was hit by seven bullets -- three to the back.

It was not clear in what order the shots struck the teen or whether he had his back to the police when they opened fire .

We can comfort ourselves knowing that poor Kimani did not live to see a judge scrap the ban on supersized soft drinks.

Rioting gangs and lynch mobs are plenty of reason for standard-capacity magazines.

That’s 15+ in pistols, and 30 in carbines.

As an escapee, I resent that.

I remember my Section Chief in the Army, a full blooded Cherokee himself, used to tell me, “Billy Joe (his name for me) [Lonesome], there ain’t no way you is a Yankee.” I took it as the finest compliment one man could pay another.

More rioting, death & mayhem from 0dumb0's & Holder's people. Is there anything that the 98% black Americans (who supported & voted for 0dumb0) do other than race baiting, rioting, killing, gang banging, flash mobs, drugs, pimps, prostitution, etc.? These people are worse than caged animals!

BTW, where are all the liberal, socialist anti-gunners now with this story? After all, the minority feral yute was breaking the law and carrying an illegal hand gun! Why aren't the anti-gunners screaming about this? Why aren't they marching in minority inner city neighborhoods to disarm the gangs and confiscate illegal guns?

Well, the three in the back clearly indicate a problem for the cops.

My first cousin retired as a lieutenant detective from the NYPD, serving on the Manhattan DA's homicide squad. (I think the Chris Noth character on Law and Order could have been modeled on him, similar in appearance and demeanor.) He was the most incorruptible straight arrow that ever served on any police force in the world. (My grandfather's grandfather, from whom I inherited my name, was a police captain in NYC during the Civil War and was known for his reputation for integrity, and enforcing it on his precinct, when that commodity was often in short supply among the NYPD.)

In his post-police career, my cousin became a lawyer, with a firm that specialized in PBA cases, defending police officers in a jam. He was "of council" to the cops that killed Amadou Diallo, and while he had the professionalism not to discuss the case, he had some difficulty hiding his contempt for his clients, when I asked him about the case. In twenty years on the force, my cousin claims that he never drew his weapon once, and I tend to believe him. I think his clients in that case appeared to him to be gunslingers.

I don't think today's NYPD are nearly as venal as they were when I was growing up. But for the most part, the corruption was petty venality, taking a free lunch or beer, or swiping a newspaper. The problem with venality is that is destroys discipline and undermines public confidence.

FWIW, I do not think the cops in this case overreacted. When you draw a weapon on a cop, you are playing Russian roulette with a loaded weapon.

How do you figger? He could have been spun around by the first few rounds, or belatedly decided to run when it became apparent that he had just started a gun fight one on two with only four rounds in his weapon. He who first draws his weapon must bear full responsibility for any consequences.

Only the local newsies are picking it up. This is honestly the first I’ve heard of this!

This is a carbon-copy of the incident which sparked the London Riots of 2011: police snuff a gang-banger and the city burns. I’m surprised it’s been three or four days now.

So the cousin admits in her lame excuse that he had a weapon —

This story says that Brooklynites are enraged at the shooting of this teenager. Other news stories said that the dead boy was a member of the Bloods street gang, and that it was his fellow gang members who were rioting.

See how liberals can whitewash stories, by omitting certain key details???

“Rioting gangs and lynch mobs are plenty of reason for standard-capacity magazines.”

That situation didn't happen because no one in New York is allowed to have a gun. I wish you guys wouldn't put false stories on here. /s

This morning, the Feinstein Assault Weapons ban bill was passed out of committee and is now in the Senate. Included in that bill is the outlawing of large capacity magazines.

I got an email from the Ruger company four days ago that my Ruger made 25 cartridge magazine for my Ruger LR rifle is on its way. Screw Hussein Obama.

Why? Without knowing anything, it could be he turned when we was falling after the first bullets hit,and they continued shooting.

7 isn’t that many shots for 2 people.

If any shots were in the front, it’s pretty clear that he was facing the officers at some point.

And it is much more unlikely that a person with his back to police would actually turn FORWARD after being shot in the back — but even it that were not the case, shots in both the front and back clearly indicate the man turned while being shot, one way or another, so clearly he COULD have been shot in the front first, and then spun around and collapsed while still being shot.

Or, maybe one officer was behind, and one in front, when the shooting started, so the one behind shot him in the back while the guy was pointing the weapon at the officer in the front.

And why is it that when these types of groups gather to protest violence, they actually commit widespread violence?

If you read the story the mother admits he had a gun, but claims he was just carrying it for a friend.

And somehow, she “knows” that he was just showing it to police so they would know he was armed.

Given police officers have progressed to be an occupying army of globalists... the kid gunman was shot in the back.

No more benefit of the doubt to cops for me from what I have seen happen in their anti-constitutional amoral training and trainers. If I am on the jury, I am looking for police state fibs in equality with racist lefty fibs.

This is so, even though one of the main organizers for the rioters is an open racist communist looking for a communist “revolution” so he can oppress, harm and kill whitey.

What a mess moral realitivism and globalist treason creates for Western civilizations.

The 25 cartridge magazine has been delivered and is on my rifle. I find it an irony that I got it the same day the senate subcommittee passed out the Feinstein bill to outlaw the making of this magazine and others similar.

If that bill passes the Senate, and the House, no more large capacity magazines can be sold in this country. I've heard some congressmen say this part of that bill will be cut out of the original bill in the Senate and passed on its own in order to get it passed.

This is weapon suppression bit by bit.

The part where the only evidence he actually had a gun is someone “identifying herself” to be this kid’s cousin telling an obsiously BS story to a “news outlet”.

I can call in, “identify myself” as this kid’s uncle and say whatever I want. They media will run with whatever is said as long as it meets their agenda. Part of their agenda in NYC is covering up for the NYPD to avoid riots.

Think about the power of the “cousin” statement:

-The “low-information” types and people who personally knew the kid will accept it and see the kid as some poor fool who got involved with the wrong “friends”. They won’t get upset at the media since he is not being explicitly portrayed as a gangbanger. Just a kid doing a stupid youthful mistake and getting shot for it. A tragedy but the shooting is justified.

-The higher-information types will assume the “cousin” is giving a BS cover story and was stupid enough to confirm her cousin had a gun. It will “confirm” to them he had a gun and obviously did more than “hold it for a friend”. They will think “hey, the cousin’s story is obviously a cover-up and he’s a gangbanger”. Shooting justified.

-Most importantly it will “prove” guns are bad and will get you (or your friends) killed by cops.

All bases covered…
