As President Obama heads to Capitol Hill to push his deficit reduction plan, AARP is urging the New York congressional delegation to oppose the so-called 'chained CPI,' which would make significant cuts to Social Security and veterans benefits in New York according to a new analysis based on data from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

We want to blow up twitter and Facebook with these graphics and #HandsOffSocialSecurity #noSScuts SS . . .FogerRox (democrat underground)
Retirees and Veterans are not Obama’s people. Before the election, some of them were willing, useful idiots. Now, they are just plain idiots.
Global Research (a communist site) has this beautiful quote from tin foil head Nancy Pelosi . . .
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi has said that cutting Social Security would strengthen it, and President Obamas spokespeople keep emphasizing his eagerness to cut Social Securitys cost of living adjustments. The fact that Social Security has nothing to do with the deficit is beside the austerity point.

I don’t understand how anybody on Earth could think getting an average of 1600 a month from Social Security is a huge amount that must be cut. People must be living in fantasy land or something.
I just heard this non-sense propaganda on the radio here in New Hampshire.
AARP sandbagged the seniors, veterans, and other SS recipients by pushing 0care way back when.
Why should anyone listen to them now?
Consider the social networking onslaught that is about to begin as advertised on progressives websites. Because we do not participate we do not see, feel nor understand the impact this really has.
Just a manufactured continuation of drums beating against the usual suspects.
Only in Washington would a slightly smaller INCREASE be called a “CUT”.
This is how THAT political “dirty trick” works:
First, imagine a retiree is receiving $1600 each month from Social Security in 2013.
Now imagine that “average” inflation in 2013 is three percent, but that the prices of different items increase at different rates — as they normally do.
For example, imagine that gasoline prices increase by 6% in 2013.
Now the question is “Should the government include gasoline in its calculation of the “inflation adjustment” to the retiree’s monthly payments as it does now?
Or should the government NOT include changes in the cost of gasoline in its calculation of monthly payments for 2014?
If “gasoline” is included, then the retiree’s monthly payments will increase 3.1% to $1649.60.
But if “gasoline” is NOT included, then the retiree’s monthly payments will increase 2.9% to $1646.40.
The difference (in this example) is $3.20.
So: Is an INCREASE of $46.40 a “CUT” because that number is less than $49.60?
Only in Washington...
That is the plan ..that inflation will lower the expense for the governments...they need to cut payments in half..and buy lowering the annual increases below inflation they will be able to in 15 years...
But on a happier note, the voters returned their messiah to the White House on November 6, 2012.
Those who voted for obama should be elated at this news. Those who did not vote for obama should be worried as the sheep and goats in Palistine.
