—Years back 4 drunk Houston teenagers joy riding a stolen car traveling over 100 mph hit a stopped train at 3 AM. All four died instantly. The parents blamed the accident on an undersized railroad crossing sign. A spokesman for the railroad replied “How could they see a sign if they could not see a train”?
—Stolen vehicle. No license. Speeding. Gonna’ make a Utube video. Kids out having fun.. Drugs???? You spectulate. This is the problem with our children today. NO PARTENTAL CONTROL... Unfortunately this is one of the problems of raising your children with the attitude that “we’re letting them grow and be their own selves. I am very sorry for what happened to these children and to all of their families, but there should be a message here to the rest of the people letting their children be their own selves. Stop with the “time out” crapola and start parenting...
—I’ll admit I did stupid things. But, I never drove 80 in a 35 zone around something called “Dead Man’s Curve” in a stolen SUV with a person that didn’t even have a driver’s license behind the wheel. Sometimes the odds catch up with you.
Anthromorphic fallacy. Of course you didn't. All the people who did those things are no longer around to post. Well, at least 6 out of 8.
You forgot to mention in a stolen car.
You might add.....IN A STOLEN CAR!!!!
We had a horrible accident here in NJ a few years back where kids in a Jeep hit something like an abutment, causing several of them to fly out into the opposing fast lane, where they were quickly hit and killed by oncoming traffic. They weren’t wearing seatbelts.
I was fortunate in having a friend that worked as a dispatcher at a towing yard; you see those wrecks, and you won’t drive five blocks to the store without your seatbelt. Hair caught in the front grill of a car, brain matter in the bed of a pickup, it is disgusting but scares the heck out of you.
