That’s because he knows it is a waste of time and effort.

You are simply barking up the wrong tree.

Maybe calling Obama’s bluff on the sequester is the break in the dam. If the House will only pass budgets which defund Obamacare and the R’s have found their gonads on calling Obama’s bluff on all his emotional spending - and with the public knowing Obama is a big fat liar who cries “wolf” in order to get whatever he wants - maybe Obama will have to live with the reality that if he wants ANY money he’s gonna have to defund Obamacare.

Maybe this is the ONE thing that ISN’T a waste of time.

John Boehner has left nothing (ABSOLUTELY NOTHING) for us to support.

Boehner is there to assure that the implementation of ObamaCare is not interrupted. These other little skirmishes are just diversions so we won't notice the real plan.

The House Leadership is owned lock stock and barrel by the Progressive agenda.

New World Order

"McCarthy said, he’d be open to taking rogue Republicans across the aisle to work with Democrats."

So McCarthy is FOR gun control?

Many of us forget the REAL enemy is Obama, not the GOP.

Many of us forget that there are plenty of democrats that run with an (R) by their name.

Explain why Boehner refuses to defund ObamaCare?

“Not that I have any faith the ability to right things through elections anymore to begin with, but that’s the green light for a huge tear away of Republican party members to a 3rd party or formation of one nevertheless.”

If what McCarthy said actually takes place, this will happen.

I’ve predicted in previous posts that the Republican Party (at least the elite) is marginalizing themselves out of existence. Like Thelma and Louise in the film of the same name, every time they reach a moment of choice (a fork in the road), they take the wrong turn.

If things keep going the way they seem to be going now, the Republicans (like T & L) may end up driving right off the cliff in 2014...

“They re-elected Boehner because no one else would take the job.”

I don’t believe that.

“We’ll see - I won’t give up until the votes are cast in 2014. Right now the Democrats are in ABJECT FEAR over gun control...knowing their history on that issue. Boehner may want to “pass legislation” (as they say), but he’ll still have to get the votes, and I still don’t think those votes are there.”

Famous last words.

Were the votes “there” in NY?
Were they “there” in Colorado?
Will they be “there” in Maryland?

Jes’ wonderin’...

I'm pretty adamant when called by Republican fundraising groups. I point out that I NEVER send money to Republican groups; only to individual pro-gun conservatives.

We are too anxious to attack our own. Many of us forget the REAL enemy is Oboma, not the GOP.

Do you remember around 1984 when Jeane Kirkpatrick, described the San Francisco Democrats as being the "Blame America First Crowd". It appears many of us conservatives are now becoming the "Blame Republicans or Blame Boehner First Crowd".

It is indeed easier to hit your target if you aim at those closest to you.

Actually, to the sanctimonious selfrighteous conservatives, the GOP is the enemy that must first be destroyed before there can be victory

Not so fast. We know where Odumbo stands. Meanwhile, we have these shifty GOP congresscritters running around “supposedly” on our side, but who move back and forth across the line for their own gain.

The House already passed the CR. The kenyan will have money until Oct 1st.

There will not be any real resistance to the marxists this year and everything else is kabuki now.

Sadly the GOP is clearly still running on the we are not as bad as the democrats strategy. No fight in them at all and history will damn them.

There is now an exception this time around, they just ignore us at this point regardless of the election consequences based on the quote. McCarthy tipped the hand on what the elites in the party are thinking even though he should have known better which is a sign of other undercurrents within the leadership. They don’t care about what is right, what is best for the country, they just want their slice of the power pie along with their more voracious cousins in the democrat party who show little in the ways of wanting to share. I find all of this telling and to be quite frank scary on where things will be going. Insanity has taken over the minds of those who are in control, and that never ends well for the citizen, their lively hood, their property, and especially their life.

You know the answers for Maryland and NY (and CA, for that matter), but my point is that gun control has not been a major issue in this country since 2000. That has permitted a LOT of Dems to get elected without really having to take a stand (since few were interested in it). But they do know history and they DO KNOW what happened in 1994.

One of us will be proven wrong - and I still think that it will be the Dems. While I do think our Republican leadership is crappy, they still like having power, and having their own seats - all of which will be at risk if they try these kinds of stunts.

I have heard for years there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the two political parties. I always disagree with that — until recently. Half of the Republicrats are useless.

Boehner & McConnell have already tried this tip toe through the tulips strategy. All it got us was another 4 years of the kenyan.

The most likely scenario is we are in the exact same spot in 2015 that we are now. GOP House and Dem Senate. But if the Dems do GOTV the GOP is in deep trouble. Nobody likes a loser and the GOP leadership is sure acting like one.
