In the midst of typical rants against GOP "radical crackpots," good old John Dean advises us that the best way to end Republican "obstructionism" is to defeat Republican politicans in elections.

Wow, why hadn't anyone ever thought of that before!

I guess I haven’t seen any obstructionism. The GOP readily sells out.

because California required a two-thirds majority to enact a simple budget,

Damn liar! CA requires a two-thirds majority to raise taxes and fees. Of course, the dems now have this and can do most anything they want.

Silly article, the Democrats have the government union employees using their fees as money laundering financing for the Democrat party.
This state has been a one party Democrat state for decades and is looking more and more like Detroit for it.

The author should look at the trends happening in all areas where there are these Democrat controlled areas and see if Socialism or Capital follows and how economically sound they are. Following that this author should suggest all wanting to follow the California model should dive off the nearest cliff to do the same to themselves sooner without getting good people hurt.

John Dean apparently doesn’t understand the simple concept of representative government. Republicans took control of the House in 2010 largely due to popular (i.e. majority) reaction against President Obama’s agenda. Yet, the Republicans are obstructionists for simply reflecting the views of the people who put them into office in 2010?

I’m sure Mr. Dean saw things entirely differently during the Bush administration. I bet he was positively thrilled every time the Democrat-controlled House fought the Bush agenda.

California Model?

Yes, it's simple.

The unions run the legislature and the Dems run the unions.

Drug gangs are moving in while taxpaying gun owners are moving out.

Oh, and John Dean? That's just another word for lying weasel

.

How about the Democrats giving up and following the Wyoming model where people seem not to be able to even spell Democrat?
