This is the same Dr. Carson that said some people in the cities do not deserve to own automatic weapons.

Did not know that about Dr. Carson, however, still, on the whole, I'll take Dr. Carson over Rand Paul any day.

" it will be difficult for the media to undermine the background of ... Dr Carson "

Don't count on it. If they can't find anything they can blow out of proportion, they'll just make things up.

They are evil. Ask Gov. Palin.

I’m saying they are going to find it very difficult to demonize Ben Carson, but they will try. No offense to Palin but the media didn’t make him like they did Sarah ; so they can’t destroy him either.

CARSON: The bullies are the people, especially the media who like to just beat on anybody who doesn't toe the line, who doesn't say what they're supposed to say, and act the way they're supposed to act. And they suppress freedom of speech and freedom of expression and people have succumbed to that.

I can see this even at the micro level where your local Gannett Rag now requuires that you have a Facebook page to post comments in response to articles. The official reason is to promote civility by requiring commentors to use their real names. The real reason is to supress politically incorrect thought by forcing conservatives to either (a) use their real names to post conservative comments at the risk of retribution; or (b) remain silent and keep their conservative thoughts to themselves. For example, what sane parent is going to publically post a critical comment about the teachers' union using using their real name at the risk of their child getting a C instead of B. There is no way I would use my real name to post a comment on a Gannett website that criticizes abortion or gun control at the risk of local libtards boycotting my business or harrassing my children.

This is what we lack in our leadership, conviction.

Yes, Rand Paul showed some, Ted Cruz showed some, Dole, McCain, Romney not. Romney didn't even have conviction about his religion, all he seemed to have conviction about was smearing and slandering his fellow R's as soon as he knocked them all out, he sat back and coasted.

He wanted to be liked, that is a no conviction mindset. That is why we love Dr. Carson, Paul, Cruz and Reagan they don't care about the press, the D's or what anyone else says about them, love that the most about them.

Terry, I ran across a thread this morning that IMHO speaks to your comment. How sad when we run into this mushy thinking from our friends.

I think DeprogramLIberalism has some substantial food for thought to consider about approaching the low information voters/sheeple.

He/she points out, if I understand it correctly, that Liberals are not about ideas but about their fears. If we can address those fears, perhaps we stand a chance of helping them change from sheeple to freeple.

Thank you. I did forget to mention Senator Cruz as well. Hopefully, this will give more public officials to speak up against the actions of this administration.

Sadly, most of the ones (I used to talk to) actually believe they’re moderates.

Some of them talk very conservative but vote liberal. There’s no talking to someone like that.

Well, there is that. Self-perception is difficult to overcome.

Indeed!
