- A suicide bomber wearing a vest bomb struck outside the Afghan defense ministry on Saturday, killing at least 10 people in a blast just hours after Chuck Hagel, the new United States defense secretary, arrived here in Kabul.
And a short time later, another suicide bomber detonated his explosive in eastern Afghanistan before reaching his target, but killed eight children and a policeman, according to Afghan military and hospital officials.

For these two clowns, that is "mission accomplished".
Was this a publicized trip?
Not unless it was carefully leaked.
Where’s the muslim outrage?
The moozlum outrage is everywhere and ever-present. That anyone who is not a moozlum exists fuels the fire.
They had you bracketed Chuckie.
I spent a year at COB Speicher in Iraq (civilian bean counter). Every time our organization’s IT chief went outside the wire she got hit. Gratefully she was never injured. Same for our LTC. Our leadership trusts way too much.
Wussy terrorists couldn’t quite close the deal.
Shows that they didn’t think it was worth their while.
Thanks SoFloFreeper.
Welcome to the Big Leagues Hagel. It’s way past time for you to be practicing your “tighten my sphincter muscle” exercises.
Maybe this is why Rand Voted for him to be confirmed????
LOL!
My first thought: ‘Aim small, miss small.’ *SMIRK*
But...but...Islam is the “Religion of Peace”.....
My last post should have read:
But...but...Islam is the Religion of Peace...../sarc.
Bad timing. Better luck nex time.
Good God, please help us....this A-1 ahole, supposedly “in charge” should not be in the position he commands. And damn the politicians who confirmed his nomination.
Yes, it is a never ending battle when you are dealing with the infiltration of cockroach leftists, I know. But fight we must, our might is right, and WIN we will.
I, too, don’t know why Rand Paul voted for him. But he has redeemed himself in view of the filibuster and his vote and that of Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and others AGAINST Brenner. From this point on, Rand Paul as drawn a line...I don’t believe he will make another mistake again like the Hagel vote.
I noticed the news said that people were killed and it was careful not to say wheteher Americans were killed. Just that word Peacekeeprs.
IOWs it was exactly like his confirmation testimony.
Ah, that is OK, a video will come out in a few weeks where a little girl will be shown delivering flowers to him on the tarmac.
The only smoke you will see will be the one reflecting in the mirrors....
Cannot let the Hilderbeast get a thunder thigh up on ya...dontchaknow..
Unless it was his Kerry vote. The only Tea Partier who has gotten the Kerry, Hagel and Brennan votes correct is Ted Cruz.
Hagel farted toward Jerusalem and blamed the Jews.
And Ted Cruz voted AGAINST all three. Ted Cruz is a sharp, knowledgeable, in-your-face, fearless Conservative and Patriot. That I do know, and I'm all for him and will support him in any way I can. Rand Paul is also sharp, knowledgeable, in-your-face, not as intense as Cruz but fearless non the less, and a Conservative and Patriot. Paul has slipped on the banana peel a couple of times, and it remains to be seen what he does after the filibuster.
I'm also interested in Mike Lee of Utah and his voting record. He and Cruz made a perfect team which grilling Holder recently. Does anyone know what happened to Paul Ryan, and his reasons for voting lately the way he has?
He must have taken stammering lessons from AH in charge.
All this after Barack Obama gave his “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” speech to the United Nations praising the so-called arab spring where Islamists came to power establishing theocratic rule.
What a mess. Worse than Carter.
A bomb went off near Hagel?
There yet is hope.
Did anyone else notice the shallowness of Hagel’s response to the bombing? “Uh, we’re at war... and some things like this happen because we’re at war.”
This, along with his astoundingly muddled responses during the Senate hearings, tells me there’s some signs of dementia happening with Hagel. Even without his stances vis-a-vis Iran and Israel, he never should’ve been considered for SecDef. I seriously think he’s in a state of mental degradation.
theres some signs = there are some signs
I should've read your comment before posting mine, because I essentially repeated what you're saying here. Something's wrong with Hagel, I believe. He seems incapable of putting a complete thought together, which tells me he may be suffering from some form of dementia.
Hagel kills
IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE.
moslems are filth. ALL OF THEM. And George Bush is just as much a muzzie lover as obama.
