No Bible for Brennan Swearing In

John Brennan was sworn in today at the White House. He was confirmed as the new CIA director yesterday.

He does not appear to have placed his hand on a Bible, a Torah, a Koran, or other sacred religious text as he said the oath.

How do you know that Obama took his on a Bible? Obama’s real swearing in occurred in private behind closed doors. The only explanation for two swearings in both elections is that he does not consider swearing on the Bible to be binding.
