Buy your own propane tank and any propane company can and will fill it, and most charge $1 a gal less than the going rate if you own your tank.
You can buy a rebuilt tank for about $500 and will get your money back in savings in less than two fill-ups.
No more ‘lock in’ price fees, no more tank rental fees, no more delivery charge fees, Just the lowest price around + sales tax.
Summer fill is usually about $1 - $1.25 gal.
If you can find a good price on a 1000-1500 gal tank you can stuff it full in late summer and never pay winter prices.
I paid $350 for my tank and striped it down , repainted it and put new regulators on for another $65.
