I don’t know them,” de los Santos, 23, said in the testimony.

GOOD GUESS, LIZ My guess is the denial deal involves a chunk of the port “security” action—(big bucks from drug cartels to smuggle drugs in Dominican port cargo)— which Menendez has been bird-dogging using US govt authority and govt resources to force into fruition.
Just as they do to Republicans, tough! He gets no free pass on this. democrats paid her to retract her statement.
So much for that. She changed her story, so now Menendez is off the hook. I wonder how much she was paid. Wouldn’t surprise me if she was paid off by obama himself,,,with taxpayer money.

The problem with her story now is this. She is TELLING us that previously, she was willing to lie for money.
But if she is confessing to being willing to lie for money, how do we know she is not NOW lying for money?
Once you admit to lying for payment, you can’t be trusted.
So maybe she lied before, or maybe she is lying now. And she had a lot more incentive to lie now, because I’m sure there was both a significant pressure against her, and probably an offer of money to recant.
