Surely, the Democrats destroyed Detroit, but the people of Detroit will never figure this out. And the people of MI as a whole merely encouraged the whole destruction.
If the people keep voting in the democrats, the state should just leave Detroit alone and let it crumble. Why should the rest of the state waste valuable tax dollars trying to fix the unfixable. Stupidity on parade.

I have worked with people who have had relatives work for the City of Detroit. They are PROUD to describe how you got to ‘work the system’ and get a LOT of money - “under da table”...
They admit, it’s been that way for years, ever since Coleman Young got in and ‘Turned things around’. Much like what obama is doing to us nationally. He’s opened the doors for those who feel it’s “Their Turn Now” to “Get theirs while the gettin’s good”.
I am only repeating what has been told to me by co-workers. But the truth of it is astounding.

The white people who built Detroit have left.
Detroit is a huge success for the Democrat Party. It votes about 99% Democrat. It is the reason Michigan has Democrat Senators and votes Democrat in presidential elections.
The problem with socialism is that you run out of other peoples money. That is what happened in Detroit. They ran out of other peoples money. That is what is happening in the U.S. as a whole.
The only difference between Detroit and America is time.

The people in Michigan outside of Detroit have made great efforts to try to prevent the destruction of Detroit. Billions in tax dollars has been taken from people in Michigan and wasted by Detroiters. Ford, Gm and other companies have invested billions in Detroit. They built the Renaissance Center and other developments in Detroit. There have been numerous government programs financed by non-Detroiters who attempted to improve the situation in Detroit.
The simple fact is the majority of Detroiters are parasites and thieves. They destroy everything they touch.
... all federal and state regs are waived,
... all agreements with public unions are canceled,
...and all upper managers are let go.
...otherwise, de- certify it as a municipality & sell it to the highest bidder.
The only difference between Detroit and America is time.
Anyone Gov. Snyder appoints to “fix” the problem will fail because his or her efforts will be derided and attacked as being “racist”.
There is no solution to the problem. The blacks have produced a concentration that will never be diluted because there is no economic incentive to do so. The toxic black political corruption must be eliminated.
The Governor must be governor to all his constituents, even those in Deeetroit, and forcing and end to the destructive practices must occur. There is no way out except a continuation of the withering on the vine. The controlled withering is the only way forward.
One more thought....... Deeetroit is Rhodesia

Well, it will have to be someone with huge stones for sure. And, it would help expedite the process if this person should be black, if such a person could be found - that is.
Quite a change from 1962 when I went into the Navy. Back then the nineteen year old recruits from Detroit would look down their nose at anyone from the South and proudly proclaim that they were from “Detroit, Michigan”. They had the attitude you might have expected from someone saying, “My family is royalty”.
