I think you’ll see a further separation of the faithful and unfaithful, the true Christian and false Christian, as time progresses.

I am continually worried by how few Christians are deserving of God's grace or worthy of the Church that has been placed in our hands. Just as often though, I am relieved at the thought that we are not expected to be worthy, just to do our best, to follow God's Word as faithfully as we can and to spread the Gospel even (especially?) if we fall short.

That's the mystery and blessing God's Grace. We don't deserve it, there's nothing we can do in a "works based" system of worship to gain it, but God freely gives it to us in the person of Jesus Christ as long as we acknowledge His redemptive act on the Cross for our sins.

And because of our belief in His sacrifice as the only thing that can atone for our sins, we are imparted with what some theologians call "provisional righteousness." We're declared righteous, but only on the merits of His Blood, not in anything we do or say.

It's so simple, yet so mind boggling at the same time.

Grace by definition is undeserved. I think we’d all like to see another Great Awakening in this nation and I’m fairly sure at this point it’s the only hope our nation has to remain free.
