"City Leaders" had a plan, according to source.
If I rememeber, it is calling on Obama to pay back the debt that Detroit got Obama elected.

Liberal policy makers “windmilling” over failed liberal policies. Does it get any better than this?

Unless the EFM (emergency financial manager) can tear up ALL the public union contracts and make the insane public union pension plans null/void...
There is no saving Detroit.

And Obama screwed them leaving republicans to make the deals that are bringing private money to Detroit.

Why in the world does the governor want to take over the financial management of Detroit?!
That's like wishing for a root canal!

Said (mayor) Bing on Friday, The governor has made his decision, and it was his decision alone to make. While I respect it, I have said all along that I do not favor an emergency Manager for the City of Detroit. Does this mean the incompetents who ran the place into the ground would 'just prefer cash'? How charming.

Heh. It's always the same.
When Buffalo was put under the control of a state financial control board, the usual lefties whined, too. But it worked. Well, I mean, these things can't do miracles.
People are still leaving the city in droves, but the budget's balanced. That's progress.

What caused this problem? Does this plan keep it from happening again? If you knowingly keep voting crooks into office, shouldn’t you suffer some kind of correction? If they take outside money, then they lose their voting privileges.
