Twitter is nothing more than a gigantic soap opera.
When was the last time you got something of lasting, true value from Twitter.
I've been a tech guy all my life and I admit - I don't get Twitter. Yes, I've heard the argument that it's a great way for workgroups to collaborate and instantly share ideas. Yes, I understand that - like any other site in the social networking sphere - you can make it into whatever you want by limiting the people you follow/friend/connect with. Yes, I understand that is a very easy and fast way to share links to photos or sites with others.
Still, I don't get it - probably because being successful on Twitter requires a level of narcissism that I have never been able to manage. It seems even more like millions of people simultaneously yelling "Look at me!" than Facebook does. :)
When Weiner tweeted his...kittehs and such, and Breitbart reported it.
I will make this observation. I could have accurately predicted the war between Beta and VHS, and the eventual winner. I could have predicted the rise and fall of CB radio. I could have predicted the massive growth of cellphones....where even your eleven year-old kid has one.
For Twitter? It’s a ten-year thing, and by the end of it’s ten years....it will be in decline. I don’t see it in existence past 2025.
I’ll even go out on the limb for Facebook. By 2020, half the people currently on Facebook will have left and quit. It does not have a long life either.
Now, this fancy Apple TV-device? I’m predicting it’s Jack-the-Giant killer. All of the cable TV companies are in for serious competition, if it ever does take off.
Is it like massive amounts of emails coming over your phone?
Just a whole bunch of text messages from retarded people all over the world, that you don’t know, and never will?
Hey, pay several $hundred$ for this chunk of $hit and you can receive lots of meaningless ‘spam’ whereever you go?
I’ll pass.
Add Face Book and you have the twenty first century version of C.B. Radio. 10-4 good buddy?
