Normally spending cuts would garner a great big WOOHOO but in this case it’s just a slower death.

If we can’t take $85 billion of spending cuts out of a budget of $3.7 trillion, we truly have lost the will to sustain ourselves as a self-sufficient country and are doomed. It is absolute insanity that anyone — Democrat or Republican — looks at an $85 billion cut as “harsh” or “catastrophic.”

The cuts that have been projected are not nearly big enough, by a factor of 10.

Sure, there is going to be a lot of bleed-out, but that probably still beats a swelling to the point of bursting. There is going to be a LOT more collateral damage in a few weeks if we are not working with some kind of budget, and try to fund things with still another “continuing resolution”.

Has anybody ever examined just what it is that these “continuing resolutions” are now funding?

Government by automatic pilot is not working.

The continuing resolution expires March 27.

That is when the fireworks really start.

535 people are running this nation into the ground. ALL are complicit. ALL must be ...............? Sadly, there is no other way.Their protestations to the contrary are falling on deaf ears now. They have pulled the “Chicken Little” scam too long and too often. Madame Guillotine may once again be called into service.

Nothing to fear Joanne. Since Maxine Waters said the sequestration will cause 170 million jobs to be lost all the pilots and airline personnel will no longer be working so no planes in the air. The military will have to shut down so no training. Think about it sequestration should end global warming and result in world peace. The libs should be all for it.

The military will have to shut down so no training

We'll still be training the military. Many civilians will have their hours compromised but we have two things to fall back on - war-time training plans which make way for accelerated (although not as complete) training is one. They will also beat up on the military folks assigned to training by making them take up the slack as their civilian counterparts are pared back for the duration. Our warriors continue to get dumped on when left-wingers control the day. TDYs will be cut back/suspended which will hurt some deployment sites by not having folks trained on specialized equipment when they arrive.
