(SOME) Ohio immigrants in new program denied licenses...
The Plain Dealer, Cleveland Ohio ^ | Saturday February 23, 2013 | Michael O'Malley

On paper, Jose Mendez, 20, and Carol Apaestegui, 24, look pretty much the same.

Both, with their families, came to this county as undocumented immigrants when they were children. And both have been accepted in a new federal program that gives them temporary legal status, allowing them to get work permits and Social Security numbers, which they have.

But when it comes to getting an Ohio driver's license, the two young people don't match up -- Mendez was denied a license while Apaestegui got hers...

"A woman at the bureau told me, 'You're not even supposed to be in this country,'" said Mendez who works shining shoes in a downtown office building.

But Apaestegui, born in Peru and living in Stow, had a different experience. She took her paperwork to a BMV office in Cuyahoga Falls in December and got a license...

The federal program, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals -- known as DACA -- was established last year by the Obama administration.

Can the Obama Administration just "establish" this "new program"?

What is to stop these "temporarily legal" young people from voting, using their driver's license ID?

Why do you think they developed this program?

Driver's license isn't necessary to register to vote in Ohio. Ohio makes it easy for illegals and other noncitizens to register and to vote.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

More proof that the politicians in this country do way too many recreational drugs.

The next time a republican becomes president, he should just grant “waivers” for businesses to overcome EPA rules and crate”programs” that grant people the temporary right nor to pay high tax rates.

Screw the congress just like obama is doing.

In Michigan we have a must ask law but you can vote without an ID but you have to sign an affidavit that says you know that you’re a legal voter.

Obama’s de facto dreamers are smart enough to know that the affidavit is incriminating evidence so they want licenses.

Because it is against the law. You don't think these people would break the law, do you?

Hunker down folks!! The crime wave from the south is going to hit this country like a ton of bricks in the coming years. The Republican establishment along with the dems are a lost cause. Vote third party and hope the best for your children and grandchildren.
