A parched Marco Rubio's awkward reach for a drink of Poland Spring water during his Republican rebuttal to the president's State of the Union address Tuesday night became an instant online sensation. Predictably, the video clips, jokes and Twitter hashtags that have become so familiar in such situations took the social Internet by storm.

I want everyone to remember the DEBT obama created, Fast and Furious and the Benghazi affair. The news media will use anything to create a diversion so the American People will not remember or ask about these things. Again, I think Sen. Rubio did a great job!
So taking a sip of water for a dry throat is considered a sin in liberalland, but a stream of lies and BS by Obama was okay? If the sip of water was the worst that the liberals could find in Rubio’s speech, he did great. Rubio had to give them something to whine and twitter about…
Do not let the media waste our time. Some one needs to go on one of these shows and blast them up one side and down the other. The country is falling apart and this is news!
The only thing I wonder is why he didn’t have his water where he could pick it up and take a drink without losing his place. What made him look stupid was leaning out of the frame to grab the bottle.
The only thing worse than libs obsessing about Rubio drinking water is when conservatives fall into the liberal trap and start obsessing over rebutting the stupid liberal garbage. Stuff like this is best ignored, responding to it only prolongs its life in the news cycle.
The media and leftist plants in the GOP are kicking out conservatives and picking losers. How long are we going to keep taking it in the pooper?

Personally I think he wasted a golden opportunity .... he was given a prime time national audience and a chance to make a memorable speech. But instead of taking advantage of the situation all he did was stand there and drink water. I’m glad I didn’t stay awake to watch this water drinking marathon. /S

This is how the press works. They don’t engage ideas. They find ways to fill newsprint and airtime that avoid engaging ideas.
It gives the appearance and the look and feel of information-delivery without actually delivering information.
It also reminds me of how the press behaved when the word came down to abandon Howard Dean, when he was the front runner for president. They seized on an exuberant “whoop” during a ralley and in lockstep unison they swept him into the abyss so fast his head spun. No one I know of questioned the way that all of the press organs turned on him so fast, so completely, and with identical cover stories.
I began to notice during the Clinton years how, as you clicked channel to channel, talking heads would be using exactly the same buzz words, exactly the same phrases, delivering exactly the same spin and exactly the same list of talking points. You could click from one to another and it was the same right down to the exact choice of words.
I still see it every time I tune in to this day, which is why mostly I don’t bother. The more you give them access to your brain, the less you know. You’ll know more, the more you avoid them.
Rubio is using capitalism against the freaks who despise capitalism. He is rubbing it in these frauds face by selling bottled water for a campaign contribution.
The lefty media is ticked off only because that water wasn’t spiked with red Kool Aid......If it had been Rubio’s thirst would be a non issue.
What would they say if he was drinking whiskey and screwing around with underage hookers?

Rubio could have scratched his ear and that is all we would hear. I haven’t seen anything of what he said. The stupid party just goes along with it, defending him. Instead of taking the lead.
Why even mention the leftist idiot’s harping on Rubio? Ignore both but especially Rubio who is hated by most Hispanics. Obama actually took the Cuban vote in Florida in 2012. I’d think worrying about why Romney and the GOP managed to lose to Obama given what a disaster his first 4 years have been. Let’s concentrate on how to win with better communication of Conservative Principles and how to destroy/replace the Red Repubs!
