"It's something we can do without."

Get used to doing without, New Yorkers. You deserve it.

I can say this, 'cause I'm from Massachusetts.

Only the mayor can save those poor pathetic New Yorkers from themselves. Because he knows better.

New Yorkers have reelected him twice. Like with the foolish people who reelected Obama, only to find their own taxes going up, they brought this on themselves. The only tragedy is that they also brought this down on innocent people who knew better.

This is the “natural” chain of events in any major city. As time goes on, a city like New York becomes a place where more and more people live, and yet less and less really productive work ever gets done. At the end of the day, everything is a “burden” of some sort because you’ve got 8 million people living in a confined geographic area who are absolutely incapable of fending for themselves and end up living like domesticated animals.

The once tough and unflappable New Yorker has learned to be happily and docilely led around by the nose. There’s a lesson here about government.

my pre-written response to all things Bloomberg:

Bloomers is a Crony-capitalist, nebbish, poor little rich boy, self hating jew, tiny buttwipe of a man...the only reason he is probably not a fag (the jury is still out) is that he has the greatest aphrodisiac of all time, billions of dollars....he decries the 2nd amendment, but whines about how the enemy’s first amendment rights to worship are being usurped....even though Islam is NOT a religion but a murder cult.....and dont get me started on salt, transfats, cigarettes and sugar

Has he ever considered giving the city a wash or is he only interested in banning bizarre things? The whole damn thing needs to be power washed.

Next he’ll ban dihydrogen monoxide.

I guess there’s no crime in NY and this is why he has so much time to spend on this kind of stupid legislation! < /sarc >

According to Neil Young, "We got styrofoam boxes for the Ozone Layer".

Keep On Rockin' In The Free World, Bloomberg.

(How odd is it that things have "progressed" so much from the warnings of a song released in 1989).

Why doesn’t he clean out the homeless shelter formerly known as Penn Station. It’s disgraceful that commuters and tourists have to walk past able bodied homeless men and smelly, dirty bag ladies shuffling around. As soon as you walk through the main area you smell bum.

Polystyrene is virtually impossible to recycle and never bio-degrades." It is "something that we know is environmentally destructive," he said, and "is something we can do without."

Polystyrene burns. Oh, I forgot, there is a burning ban.

[Polystyrene is a strong plastic created from erethylene and benzine that can be injected, extruded, or blow molded; making it a very useful and versatile manufacturing material. However, do not forget to recycle polystyrene products.

Most of us recognize polystyrene in the form of styrofoam used for beverage cups and packaging peanuts. However, polystyrene is also used as a building material, with electrical appliances (light switches and plates), and in other household items]

Just how far will the little dictator go? Will he set an example by going through all his houses and have everything that has this material stripped out? Will he have all insulation panels that keeps his houses warm taken out? How about the State Capitol, will he do the same there?
