Reports out of Capitol Hill reveal that just-reelected turncoat West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is about to stick a big knife in the back of American gun owners. And to make matters worse, he's lying about what hes doing.
Both Manchin and House anti-gun crazy Carolyn McCarthy are claiming to be working with NRA to enact gun bans and national gun registries. NRA says flatly that Manchin is lying, and we believe he is. (The Hill, 1/24/13)
Ironically, Manchin was the gun owner's best friend on November 5 -- the day before his reelection to a six-year term let him to pull a great big gotcha on those West Virginians who were tricked into believing his representations.
But make no mistake about it: Joe Manchins draft would impose a gun ban on veterans and would set up the framework for a national gun registry.
150,000 honest law-abiding veterans are currently in the NICS system. They didnt do anything wrong; they honorably served their country. But when they sought VA counseling for a traumatic combat experience, the VA appointed a fiduciary to oversee their fiscal affairs and then took away their guns. And, again, there are 150,000 honest veterans in the system.
New York Senator Charles Schumer viciously fought a Coburn amendment on the DoD bill which would require that veterans get their day in court before their rights were taken away from them, and he won.
What the Manchin bill is about is insuring that bad guys like veterans cant get guns. And, under Barack Obama's Executive Action #1, the NICS list could soon include tens of millions of additional soldiers, police, firemen, and other law-abiding Americans.

1) Capture as many gun transactions/information as possible in national databases. If possible, 100% gun registration.
2) Background checks on all gun transactions including ammo.
3) Gun licensing and mandatory recurring gun safety training.
4) Extra taxes on gun and ammo purchases.
5) Requirements to carry liability insurance to own a gun, with increasing premiums based on the types and quantities owned.
6) Limits on the kinds of guns that can be manufactured, including guns locks keyed to owners DNA, fingerprints, etc. (single shot weapons preferred).
7) Requirement to store guns in government approved safes when not in use. Ammo must be stored separately.
8) Random home inspections and certifications to ensure #7 or...
9) Requirement to store guns in federally owned storage sites with waiting periods to draw gun out for use.
10) Waiting lists to buy a gun.
11) Limits on the number of guns that can be purchased per year and/or total number that can be owned.
12) Anti-gun curriculum added to schools (children, doctors, and others encouraged to report gun owners).
13) Requirement to send guns back to manufacturers for annual serviceability checks (this one would be a boon for gun manufacturers, sort of like Obamacare for health insurance companies)
14) Requirement to file plans prior to transporting any gun across state borders (with a long wait for approval of course).
15) Requirement to buy government approved container and pay for professional installation in vehicle prior to transporting any gun.
16) Pressure companies to put financial pressure or stop doing business with gun manufacturers, merchants, and owners.
17) Heavy fines and permanent ban from ever owning another weapon for violating any of the above infringements.
18) Mental health check for owner and everyone in household prior to approval to buy a gun subject to the other restrictions above.
19) Whatever else they can think of to make it extremely difficult to own a gun without infringing on the right to bear arms!
Mental health checks come in at #18. That could mean everything from PTSD to your doctor reporting you for saying you occasionally binge drink or just drink more than two adult beverages per day.
I’ll contact Senator’s Wicker and Cochran but I don’t think Cochran has ever voted the way I’ve asked.
I’m not surprised at all by Manchin or any democrat, they say what they have to say to get elected but getting rid of firearms is more important to them than holding any seat. I believe that any democrat who loses a seat over a gun vote will be taken care of. I do believe tha manchin doesn’t believe he’ll lose his seat. I wrote the following comment last month regarding blue state senators voting with the Red States on guns.
“If the demosocialist want this bad enough they will get the vote in the senate even if it were to mean they would actually lose control of the senate, if there are anymore elections or possibly they now have the ground game to win any state or will have by Nov. 2014.”
I would like to beehutch slap some of my fellow West Virginia gun owners who voted this turd in for a six year term and swore, “Good Ol’ Joe would NEVER support any form of gun control, he’s got an A rating from the NRA.” ...
It seems that West Virginians never learn why they shouldn’t vote for Democrats.
And I'd just like to remind those simian morons at NRA/ILA:
SEE???? I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!
Endorsing a demonicRat, and giving it an "A+" rating is just plain DUMB!
Voters in West Virginia can trust that Joe Manchin will respect their right to self-defense and will honor their rich hunting heritage, Cox continued.
It ain't about hunting, Chris, ya putz!
We urge all NRA members and gun owners in West Virginia to vote Joe Manchin for U.S. Senate on November 6.
Yeah ... FUCC. FUJM.
URGENT MESSAGE TO ALL WEST VIRGINIA NRA MEMBERS
Dear West Virginia NRA Member:
Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, and other anti-gun members of Congress are pushing a proposal that would dramatically expand the current instant background check system by criminalizing private firearm transfers. They are using the misleading label of universal background checks to create confusion in order to pass this legislation quickly through Congress.
Dont be fooled. Any system that criminalizes private firearms transfers whether between a grandfather and granddaughter, father-in-law and son-in-law, or two law-abiding gun owners who have known each other for years is a direct infringement on your Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Further, criminals will never submit to such a system so it will have no effect on crime and the only way to enforce universal background checks is to create a national registry of gun owners. Please email, write, AND call your U.S. Senators and Representative and ask them to OPPOSE this gun control scheme in addition to any bill that would reinstate a failed ban on semi-automatic rifles or magazines. I respectfully disagree. Why is Harry Reid going to allow this bill to have a vote for a bill that's almost certain to die in the House? Any member of the GOP in the House voting for gun control is begging for a primary fight from the right.
Rats in West Virginia are getting an eye opener. Joe Manchin and my POS Chuck U Schumer, perfect together!!!
P.S. There's a reason that the rats avoided any gun grabbing after the rats took over Congress in January 2007. They started running candidates who could pose as moderates and centrists by being pro life, pro Second Amendment, etc. Now with Obama re-elected, "conservative" rats and indies are getting The Full Mounty from Obama et al. The rats had to do something to appease the Brady bunch. Manchin got his marching orders because he's safe until 2018. Pardon me if that sounds cynical.
Swell ... so the NRA/ILA's "A" rated, endorsed candidate turns out to be a backstabbing, gun-grabbing socialist petty tyrant like I have been saying ...
And you disagree with me that endorsing him was dumb?

Look at it from the NRA's point of view. Their claim is that they are a single issue organization. Their policy is to endorse incumbents with the best Second Amendment record. I remember all the RINOs all over the country who screwed the Second Amendment. All I want from the NRA is to protect the Second Amendment. Manchin just blew off his own foot to appease the party apparatchiks and the Brady bunch.
First time they endorsed this POS, he was running for an open seat. He wasn't an incumbent, there was no incumbent. Bobby "Kleagle" Byrd had croaked.
All I want from the NRA is to protect the Second Amendment.
They should learn from this fiasco. I wonder if Chris Cox has the wit, and the humility to do so.
Manchin had a prior record in elective office, at least as governor, that was pro Second Amendment. IIRC, he ran against a GOP businessman with no prior experience in elective office.
It's your state. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the GOP businessman failed to return the NRA's questionnaire. I don't know, but that has happened in many other places. They work hard to be the stupid party.
When the mental health checks to purchase a firearm become mandatory, They will find a mental problem with the examinee whether the examinee has a mental problem or not.
John Raese returned the NRA questionnaire, and received an "A*" rating ... and the back of Chris Cox's hand. He deserved better, and Manchin did not deserve to be so highly praised.
Yes, GOP has a deserved rep as the Stupid Party, but this is not an example of it. This is an example of perfidy from a national political organization.
It's your state.
Yes, it is. It is not Chris Cox's ... maybe NRA/ILA should talk to locals before putting its foot in its mouth.
I'm almost certain that the NRA has a state organization that is its local affiliate in every state. Maybe the WV local affiliate was bribed by Manchin? Rats have a habit of making bribes. It's just speculation.
OK, now I'm grabbing the tinfoil. Shiny side out, right?
Rats have a habit of making bribes.
Rats are known to be involved in every form of political and social corruption that have ever occurred to the mind of Man ... and have invented a few of them.
Yikes!! You have a nasty turn of mind there my friend.
Regards,
GtG
