Their policy is to endorse incumbents with the best Second Amendment record.

First time they endorsed this POS, he was running for an open seat. He wasn't an incumbent, there was no incumbent. Bobby "Kleagle" Byrd had croaked.

All I want from the NRA is to protect the Second Amendment.

They should learn from this fiasco. I wonder if Chris Cox has the wit, and the humility to do so.

Manchin had a prior record in elective office, at least as governor, that was pro Second Amendment. IIRC, he ran against a GOP businessman with no prior experience in elective office.

It's your state. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the GOP businessman failed to return the NRA's questionnaire. I don't know, but that has happened in many other places. They work hard to be the stupid party.
