It can’t be denied that Mao was very charismatic. He had a hell of a rap about the beautiful future in store for China. His speeches were loaded with Hope and Change rhetoric.

No doubt whatsoever. Most of those guys ARE. It’s how they get people to follow them.

Look at Hitler. Same thing. He knew what his people were pissed off about, and he worked it.

History is full of them. We have one now - stumblebum that he is, he still reaches the stupid, the vapid, and the moronic.

Incidentally...if you ever want to read an amazing book about what Mao and his fun crew was doing in China, find a copy of “East To Freedom”, by Arlene Fukai.

It’s an old book from the late 50’s. She lived there and managed to escape the murder and slaughter.

Eye-opening story of what happens in a Worker’s Socialist Paradise when socialists get control.
