Too bad.
Too many punks today already think that an apology suffices.
They should simply be punished. For the good of society.
That’s too bad. That 30 days might have saved this girl.
If I were the Judge I would accept her apology and still have her spend 30 days in jail
So he should have cut it back to 29 days... :p
Like I tell are the yutes.
Ya don’t have to respect everybody but you do need to be smart enough to know when to fake it.
She’s a first timer with an addiction, and agreed to go to rehab. Let’s hope she learned from her mistake
I doubt it... generally exposure to that sort of environment does more harm than good.
Even more troubling is that this judge could barely speak English. How the heck did this guy graduate a US law school and get bar certified in the US?
Being a Miami-Dade judge, he will see more than just Spanish speaking defendants....lots of Haitian, Carribbean (different creole-type lang.), Brazilians, and other nationalities. He needs to work on his English
At least he knows what a “bird” is....
The judge was just using that 30 day sentence to slap some sense into her. He didn’t really want to punish her for her stupid attitude.
The judge obviously didn’t want to write, read, and sign a brief about sentencing her for being flippant.
Maybe she will straighten out. She is a great looking kid, not stupid, if they can keep her away from the Miami street trash she might have a future.
Everybody knows the bird is the word.
The surfin bird is the word.
She is frail and on dope. She was visibly shaking on TV. The judge was right not to throw her into the shark tank. This girl needs some competent rehab.... she was sentenced to 30 days rehab and lets see how it goes
Nope, he should have made her serve even after apology. We need to teach our kids that sometimes saying “I’m sorry” doesn’t mean you get out of the consequence. Kids today have learned that saying I am sorry when they really feel no remorse gets them out of the punishment. She needs to feel the pain of her actions. Then the next time she will have a little more self control and hopefully understand the remorse of her bad choices.
Such a pity. Orange jump suits are so attractive.
See, now, Trayvon wouldn’t have flipped off that judge, if only that Latino hadn’t murdered him. /s
Thanks SMGFan.
Nothing like a day or two in the slam to get your head screwed on straight.
