How can it be considered lasagna is there is no pasta, cheese, or sauce? Wouldn’t that just be ground meat?

It was when I was frequent TDY’s to Spain. Horse meat is pretty common as well as camel and goat. Ate a half of a grilled rabbit there also. I’m sure I ate other “meats” in other armpit third world nations also. Things I ate in Egypt I was afraid to ask.

"produced by French food supplier Comigel Surprised - I expected it to be a Chinese food company... but that would have had lead and melamine in it.

“Right there, thats a catchy jingle!”
They could show a jockey looking nervously at his watch. He wolfs down some lasagna. Suddenly, he hears the starting trumpet, hops on his horse and goes galloping off to the starting gate.
Hey, maybe they could come out with another product - Findus Ready Mule.

I once ate at a restaurant that was suspected of replacing beef with horsemeat. I realized the truth when I was halfway through a steak and somebody yelled “Whoa!”
Damned near choked to death.

Nothing at all wrong with horsemeat. Most of us over fifty have probably eaten it. The worry about the drugs is over blown. Unless it was a racehorse, most horses are not usually given “bute” routinely. The anti-slaughter folks have used bute as the reason it’s dangerous to eat horsemeat. Bute in very rare cases can cause dangerous anemia in humans that take the drug. It is no longer used in human medicine, although I know plenty of horse people who have taken it. What the anti-slaughter people have managed to do is destroy the horse industry here and cause untold suffering for many unwanted horses.
