Findus has tonight admitted that it has been selling packs of its popular frozen lasagne that were 99 per cent horsemeat.

The news is the first time that it has been confirmed that horsemeat contamination of products sold in the UK has spread beyond beef burgers.

There are concerns that the horse meat used in the lasagne contained the drug bute, which is a known human health risk. Findus was today unable to say how long horsemeat has been used in its products.

“the horse meat used in the lasagne contained the drug bute”

IMHO, this proves that horse meat is a heck of a lot tastier than what it sounds like.

How could lasagne be 99% meat of any kind?
That leaves only 1% to be pasta, cheese, tomato sauce etc.

FTA:
Unlike in Britain, there is no taboo against eating horse meat in France, and it remains very popular in a number of restaurants in Paris, and other parts of the country, as well as in specialist butchers.

So, I’d think that importing anything with “masked meat” from France wouold be a non-starter, n’cest pas?

No I suspect he is the result of too much royal in-breeding.

How did the lasagne taste? The best sausage I ever got in Germany was probably horsemeat (much to the delight of some German girls who worked in my office!).

So the pasta, cheese, and tomato sauce were only 1% of the lasagna? Didn’t people notice?

I have always found Chihuahua burritos way too spicy.
