So, does this basically give credibility to the stories that Obama is testing for generals who will fire on American citizens?

At first pass, one would think that "firing on American citizens" meant troops in the streets with rifles.

However, it could mean firing drones at Americans in other countries, too, without due process.

Thoughts?

No it doesn’t. Look... I’m not going to back myself into defending Obama. But this particular thing is no different than what the Bush administration did to justify potential drone strikes against Americans that had joined Al Queda overseas. I didn’t have a problem with it then and I still don’t. There’s nothing about this that allows domestic use of drones to kill American citizens. There’s lots more to be worried about with this administration before we get paranoid about this one.

If you go over and work with the enemy don’t you automatically lose your American citizenship?

Question: Can the government strip you of your citizenship if you are born into it?
Question: If it can, what is stopping it from stripping the Citizenship of anyone it opposes?
Question: You are aware of arguments that the government doesn't have to follow the Constitution [Bill of Rights] in cases dealing with a non-citizen are void because the Constitution places limits on the government, not on people, among those the limiting of arbitrary killing or persecution.
Question: Why would you want to allow the government to strip you of your citizenship and then, by the above reasoning, disallow you any defense?

Are terrorists criminals because of their actions? Yes or no.

“There’s nothing about this that allows domestic use of drones to kill American citizens.”

Of course. No government, having granted itself the authority to kill its own citizenry, would ever misuse that power.

"Obamadrone strikes on Americans are what Obama probably meant when he has frequently said: “Every American deserves a ‘fair’ shot. "

I heard the same guy who operates the drones also operates the teleprompter

Do you suppose we should have arrested and prosecuted the Japanese pilots that bombed Pearl Harbor?

Irrelevant; the two are not identical: the congress enacted laws, with respect to their actions, in this case -- in the other they simply declared war.

It must, therefore, be asked: are they criminals or not?

Arrogant Communist Tyrant Hussein Obama KNOWS that there are NO Checks and Balances on whatever he wants to do.

In order to bypass the US Congress, Hussein O. had his Gun-Man Holder print up a memo that has the Obamastatus of a Federal Law.

It is beyond me why the House RINOs are not starting IMPEACHMENT hearings!

‘We’ are not the only one’s paranoid about this one. Though we’ve been screaming about it since Obama’s ‘policy’ was first used against terrorist American’s Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan...with the release of the NBC report, the left, even MSNBC, has finally joining the fight, publicly recognizing that Obama has overstepped his bounds. The left had not objected to Obama putting the Patriot Act on steroids...but with the vagueness of this ‘white paper’, there are no clear answers to so many questions...bottom line, with this as it stands, he can choose, without arrest or trial, to kill any American citizen he wants, anytime and any place he wants, in secret, without warning. We’d better be paranoid about it....else we may find ourselves dead while trying to do something about the “lots more”...”with this administration”.

This Brennan guy is the same one who had the passport files of Obama - hacked & fixed/deleted/cleaned. Or perhaps they were hacked just for fun.

Oh- one minor detail - the guy who actually performed the hack was killed shortly before his trial.

They need to issue a program, so we can keep track of all the actors and players.

Let me try again by restating it this way: Al Queda operators should be killed* freely and without hesitation wherever they are. How it happens is not important. It may be a drone. It may be at the end of a scope sighted rifle. It may be an ounce of C4 in their smartphone. I don’t care. Their claim of citizenship is irrelevant, and a claim of American citizenship is not a free pass, nor should we be waiting before striking to make sure there are no American citizens in the cave. They are targets no matter what passport they carry.

Clear enough?

*that said... We are making a mistake by preferring to kill them all even when we could be capturing some high value subjects for interrogation. We’re missing out on valuable sources of information by doing so. But still... In that case too... All Al Queda gets treated the same regardless of the passport they carry. No free pass by acquiring citizenship.

You are dead wrong here. If this were the only consideration then a declaration of war would have been enough... however, congress passed laws to deal with "terrorists" and "acts of terrorism" -- quotes used because the government is trying its damnedest to be able to freely define/redefine these terms -- in so doing they gave Al Queda ant the like certain opportunities. The 6th Amendment is clear: in ALL criminal prosecutions the accused has the right of jury trial, presenting witnesses, and counsel.

Allowing the government to ignore these Constitutional mandates will only result in a more tyrannical government.

You'll note my argument makes no mention of their citizenship.

Clear enough?

No, it is not clear why you feel that the government may behave in an unconstrained & lawless manner.
Please explain how this evil may result in good.
