It's no surprise Schauer lost to Tim Walberg in 2010, a year that was big for Republicans, but it is surprising that someone who worked so hard on economic development and once earned support from moderate Republicans for his results-above-rhetoric approach squandered that support once he went to Washington.IOW, the party-line shill who wrote that swill is surprised that a candidate from the Demagogic Party stabbed supporters and voters in the back.
The only reason Schauer even won the seat was because of the NRCC tossing Walberg overboard after he bucked the establishment and voted against the big bailout of 08. They stripped Walberg of funding in the final weeks of the campaign, called him a lost cause and Schauer won by a whopping 2%.
The tea party returned the lost cause to Washington in 2010.
