Texas 6th graders assigned to design flag for new socialist nation

Sixth-grade children in many Texas public schools are being tasked with designing flags for a new socialist nation as part of the state's curriculum, EAG News reported Monday.

"Notice socialist/communist nations use symbolism on their flags representing various aspects of their economic system. Imagine a new socialist nation is creating a flag and you have been put in charge of creating a flag," says a lesson plan being used as part of CSCOPE, the curriculum being used by over 70 percent of Texas school districts.

"Use symbolism to represent aspects of socialism/communism on your flag. What kind of symbolism/colors would you use?" the lesson plan asks.

According to the Associated Press, witnesses told the Texas Senate Education Committee last week that the program promotes liberal values they described as "anti-Christian at best and openly socialist at worst."

"Does that sound like we're sympathizing with those types of countries?" Sen. Larry Taylor (R-Friendswood) asked regarding the flag assignment. He later said that he found it “very egregious as a Texas and an American.”

"Committee Chairman Dan Patrick, R-Houston, called it 'a mess.' One witness compared the system to 'mind control,' and an algebra teacher wept as he described quitting because he felt he was 'aiding and abetting a crime' by using CSCOPE in his classroom," the AP reported.

An article at Texas CSCOPE Review was even harsher in its criticism, accusing Obama of "teaching our children how wonderful socialism is and that communism is even better."

WE have lots of Republicans in TX, but socialism is creeping about everywhere. Socialists think they will score bid in 2014 and 2016 in TX.

i definitely feel the end times approaching and feel Satan at work. and it very much puts me in mind of the Frank Peretti novels. i recall a sermon from long ago saying that satan laughs when he hears people pooh-pooh his existence, because he knows it makes his work that much easier if people don’t believe in him.

That truth inspired my tagline.

The leftists are Humanists by religion. They truly believe they are simply working for themselves as autonomous beings, or “for the betterment of mankind”. They do this and count it for themselves as righteousness.

Most feel this kneejerk rebellion, resistance, and spite for anything Christian, but justify it to themselves as “they’re just trying to control me, so I’m right to resist”.

Very, very few realize that they’re actively working to build Satan’s kingdom.

“Texas Senators blast pro-socialist teaching curriculum”

So what? The Republicans in our legislature here in CA do the same thing. It’s means nothing!!! BTW how about answering about the paddling of kids in Texas schools. Let’s let the “foreigners” here in other states get to know the “real Texas.” I could tell stories that would curl your hair about racial “attitudes” in rural Texas communities. I have first-hand “experiences” in a certain Texas town that’s near PK Lake.

“Texans aren’t just sitting idly by, you know...”

Neither are a lot of us in other states. The point is that it IS HAPPENING in Texas too! the rest of us poor folks who live elsewhere, are just tired of Texas Freepers acting like they live in the land of milk and honey. No question, you have a more business-friendly government than do a lot of other states, but beyond that, you have the same $hit going on as the rest of us. It’s just time you got off your high horse and acted like the whole country mattered, not just where you happen to hang your hats. I actually “looked” at moving to Graham. Tx to manage a facility for a company for whom I worked. When I asked the mayor if the Graham “public pool” was integrated he said and I quote” Why sho, course the ni__ers don’t come because the know they aren’t welcome.” What a great racial attitude in today’s world!
