Anderson Cooper's 10pm show is set to be slashed by CNN chief Jeff Zucker to make room for a big new hire, network sources have revealed. The TV favourite, 45, hosts Anderson Cooper 360° at 8pm every weekday and the show is repeated at 10pm, with Brit Piers Morgan sandwiched in between.
However, as part of a huge raft of changes at the network, Zucker plans to axe the 10pm segment, paving the way for a news star to anchor another show.

Anderson wasn’t fired.
Taking him off the air is “firing” .... of course, with the contracts these fellows (?) have, they probably have to pay him(?) for a while.

But, he still wasn’t fired.
What CNN did was to take the repeat program off the 10 PM time slot, while keeping Anderson in his live broadcast hour of 8 PM. Taking him off the 8 and 10 hours, would have constituted firing, and that didn’t occur.
