GPs are to be forced to hand over confidential records on all their patients drinking habits, waist sizes and illnesses.
The files will be stored in a giant information bank that privacy campaigners say represents the biggest data grab in NHS history.
They warned the move would end patient confidentiality and hand personal information to third parties.

This law is in direct conflict with previous medical privacy laws.
Remember, anything that Obozo's administration says is a LIE. Nothing else can shield their intend.
Tar and feathers and a side order of rope offered up by the American people.
This particular story is about a program in the U.K.
Coming to Amerika.
The “secretary shall deem it to be so”.
Remember, in Obamugabe’s DEATH PANEL LAW, the Secretary of Health and Human Services has carte blanche—unlimited power—to demand anything from anyone regarding your health.
Even if you own a gun. Mental health and all that.
Did not expect that, found this on Drudge. Guess I should have read more closely.
Will re-examine.
Yes, but don’t kid yourself. The same is coming to the US too.
Yep, they have already proposed forcing Doctors to question patients if they have guns in their household.
Whew! For a minute I was worried. /s
Sorry, I have no interest in sports. Never have. Ran track and played football in highschool. It ended there.
Am a news junkie and I love this country. I will resist oppression like my ancestors. It is in the DNA.
My GP asked that question, 3-4yrs ago. Since I CCW into his office 2x/yr, I said, “WTH do you think, Dr Mark?” Heh. He put down “No”.
My doctor is X-military and has more guns than I do. He is a very good friend. I know the response.
STDs can maim and kill. Better profile everyone’s sex habits (including promiscuity). For now, the health industry and academia support the sex positive agenda of “if it feels good, do it”.
One it considered a “birthright” while the other needs to be restricted “for your own good” (demon alcohol isn’t a “pure” as saintly cocaine or marijuana, apparently).
Good on him. All of our medical info/data has been computerized in massive healthcare systems’ databases, like Wellspan, Geisinger, Kaiser-Permanente etc, so it’s easily-shared and vulnerable to hacking. I knew this crap was coming, when I first saw computers show-up in the patient exam rooms, back in the mid-to-late-90s.
Its already been done in Minnesota. Fairview Clinics has made it a standard question, even when stopping by because of a case of the flu.
What will the idiot left do when they face the health facts associated with their protected minority homo class is exposed? AIDS is almost exclusively connected to that class, with an extension to street drug users by association.
That said, the price of our own lost privacy is not worth exposing them. The current left will never admit the connection. It does not fit their agenda.
They already do ask about guns in the home. People are already telling stories about taking their children to the hospital or urgent care for illnesses and being asked to LEAVE the room when it comes to the question. If the parent refuses to leave, they turn the computer monitor to the child only and ask them to read and then type the answer!
Have not seen it here. It may come, but I somehow doubt it.
Obamacare is going to be very difficult to actually implement. And it will definately fail. There is no way that the plan will work. BUT THAT is exactly the plan. To implode the system.
FUBO
exactly - so after the system crashes due to the intentional destructive nature of “ACA” - they will have to convince the nation that A)The implosion was the fault of insurance companies and republicans, and B)They have the solution — single payer.
There once was a time I would have predicted Americans were too smart to fall for this... but that time has passed..
