The US was keeping its doors open for direct talks with the Iranian government with regard to its controversial nuclear programme, US Vice President Joe Biden has said.

"We will stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon," Xinhua quoted Biden as telling the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.

He said Iran's nuclear weapon must be stopped as it posed "threat to national security of the US".

However, he added that there existed "time and space" in terms of "successful diplomacy".

While a window of time for negotiations would be kept open, Biden said "it would not be unlimited, and by no means would the US stand idly by as a program for atomic bombs is developed".

A new round of talks over Iran's controversial nuclear programme is set to begin later this month after months of moratorium.

Open door, tough talk....bull CRAP.

THIS is bending over, winking at nuclear proliferation, and pure anti-Semitism.....

Remember the Democrat Convention? Remember the crowd BOOING when support for Israel was inserted back into the platform? That "support" was put in ONLY because the absence thereof was beginning to be mentioned in the media.

Obama supports Israel like China supports a free Tibet.

Kumbaya, Kumbaya, Kumbaya

War is obsolete. Peace is the required state of being for mankind. If there is a constant sincere effort to assure peace there can be no war. If the effort is real, Peace will surely prevail.

Peace yada yada yada little girls in pink yada peace unicorns yada rainbows, kumbaya kumbaya kumbaya

All will result in war death and destruction

Peace is the brief interval between wars
