Have you ever read Dog Heaven by Cynthia Rylant? It is a children's book, but I love reading it whenever I get to missing my old dogs that have passed. It is beautifully done and I highly recommend it. I like to give it as a gift to friends whose dogs have died. You can find pretty good copies on eBay, too.

So sad to lose a beloved companion animal. May God comfort the Bush family.
