Libs will say he is more qualified than ever to get the spot.

He won’t have to worry. The sock puppet living in our White House’s handlers will tell him what to do and when . . . just like they do for Obambi.

Hagel is no more qualified to be SecDef than me. Hey, I did a hitch too.
He is qualified to glad hand voters in Omaha and throw press conferences where he says stupid stuff, but that's about it.

Ill take a grunt over anybody else Obama is likely to nominate if Hegel is not confirmed...If someone would suggest anyone else from the left Obama would nominate likely to be better I'd be interested..

As El Rushbo pointed out today, job number 1 for Obama’s SecDef is to be the figurehead to take the blame for the POTUS when SHTF.

We could learn something from the Democrats though. When the going gets tough, the Dems circle the wagons (even Schumer!!). With Republicans, when the going gets tough, we eat our own.

Kerry and Hagel are the only guys Obama knows who served in the military. On a serious note, somehow these two will figure into Obamas grand plan.

I watched part of the hearings. This guy isn't qualified to deliver my newspaper much less lead the defense department. He can't remember what his stance on anything from moment to moment either was or is
Even the Democrats were trying to bail his stammering butt out.
34 years in the military with a combat arms background are what I base my thoughts on.

I was just smiling at the thought of General Mattis in the position.
