I remember Mark Steyn saying this years ago. When health care is nationalized, he said, every election and every political discussion becomes an argument about getting enough ambulances to each hospital and getting just the right number of doctor visits for each patient and getting proper medical care for every citizen’s hangnails. This is just the start of those endless political discussions.
God help us.

Whoops, sorry wrong thread
I’ve got a real simple fix. Scrap the whole damn thing, then give low cost policies to those who WANT and NEED help.
The Constitution, the legally passed DOMA law and the legally passed Immigration Laws, and I am certain many more haven’t “tied Obama’s hands,” so why, OH WHY, would THIS law do it?
Maybe because he WANTS people to beg Government to help them and safe them from their own stupidity!
FUBO and the sycophant media pushing this DRIVEL!
HR3590 has more than 2000 pages but here is a summary, only 49 pages

In my opinion, there were 18 million people without healthcare insurance but Obamacare transforms the entire national health care system and affects all residents of the U.S., not just the 18 million.
In the HR3590 summary, the words Requires the Secretary (of HSS) appear 98 times and Directs the Secretary appears 64 times. Authorizes the Secretary appears 30 times. The law gives a tremendous amount of power to one individual, Kathleen Sebelius, who was NOT elected by We, the People, and who serves at the will of the President.
The IRS may need as many as 16,000 additional auditors, agents and other employees to investigate and collect billions in new taxes from Americans. The government could have just expanded Medicaid to provide healthcare to the 18 million people and ask taxpayers to pay 1 to 2% more on their income tax to fund it. There is a great need for health care and I believe most Americans would have been willing to this tax. Instead we have a humongous mishmash of rules and regulations and taxations that intrude and affect every aspect of our lives.
After reading this information it appears that the Affordable Health Care Act is a wolf in sheeps clothing. The good stuff, coverage for children under 26 years old and pre-existing coverage were initiated first. Then the heavy fines and taxations and mandates will take effect in 2013 or later, after the November election of course.
The Obama Administration has already handed out 111 Obamacare waivers to U.S. companies. Unfortunately, if you’re a small business or don’t have connections you can’t get a waiver for your company. And there are some select groups who are exempt (Prisoners, illegal aliens, and foreign nationals, Amish, Mennonites, Scientologists and some Muslims). I think that Issuing waivers and exemptions to certain groups of people provides unequal treatment under the law. All laws should apply to all people. It is for this reason that this law violates the Constitution and should be thrown out. Just my opinion.
This just means that the handicapped, retarded and elderly who have lived “log enough” will have to “die quickly”. Here come the expedited death panels.
Now that the election is over - the truth will have to be digested sooner rather than later.
It’s not as though we didn’t tell them so.
“Families that can’t get coverage because of the glitch will not face a tax penalty for remaining uninsured, the IRS rules said. “
Right. And Geppetto is my father.
But we'll have universal health care and some kickin' new taxes that will kick Whitey in the guts, and Obama will be a River to his People, and, and, oh, and we'll have some great new regulations -- we'll show them! -- and some nifty new benefits. For people who are covered. Which we won't want to be, when we find out what it costs.
shouldn’t that be “the way the democratic controlled congress wrote the law”?
the media bias is trying to infer that the blame be placed on the republican congress, but they cannot say that, but it is being inferred.
i hate the media. it is not through ignorance, but by evil design.

It will fail all the way.
