This was the subject on Bill Bennet this morning;
I listened to them and kept thinking to myself they just don't get it. Myself and a whole bunch of the Tea Party would accept 12 million Mexicans if we could rest assured there wasn't 6 - 12 Islamic suicidal terrorist mixed into the bunch.
Enforce the current laws as you're all sworn to do. Fer-cryin-out-loud! Do that first and we'll start thinking about illegals already here.

Who can blame them?
This is a leaderless nation. We have no one to look to. They have no one either. If the Boy Scouts want to vote 'present', it's just the current fad.
