(NOTE: This letter is a response from Mark Alexander to his son, a Cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy, concerning the Boy Scouts of America national board proposal to allow homosexual Scout leaders. Alexander is both a Troop Scoutmaster and member of his area Boy Scout Executive Council.)

I received your note about news of an upcoming proposal before the Boy Scouts of America national board, which meets Wednesday, February 6th.

According to the news release regarding that proposal, "The BSA is discussing potentially removing the national membership restriction regarding sexual orientation." You are correct, the removal of this restriction will permit local BSA Councils to accept homosexual members and, moreover, to invite homosexuals to serve in leadership positions at all levels of the organization.

The Boys Scouts are finished if they lift the ban on sodomites and sodomite scout leaders.

"Indeed, much of the pressure to put homosexuals in leadership roles is coming from two national board members: James Turley, CEO of Ernst & Young, and Randall Stephenson, CEO of AT&T, who is slated to become president of the BSA national board in 2014."

I would hope that anyone who still does business with these two companies would sever that relationship and tell them why. All economic transactions are political, and any company that opposes freedom and traditional values should be boycotted.

This measure that’s proposed is one issue that still plagues the Catholic Church...pedophilia...Don’t these guys at the top of BSA read anything about that agony in the priesthood?

Even if they do not lift the ban, it's only a matter of time until they do. To the homosexual Taliban, the issue is never resolved, no matter how many votes, until they win.

There once was a time in our American history when a man was not only expected to call a “dumb idea” a dumb idea, but society rallied around the man and as a town or city or a family called the dumb idea, a dumb idea and that was usually the last anyone heard of the dumb idea. Sanity prevailed and the family, city, or town continued and life was good.

We have completely lost our compass, values, and dignity — We have reached the point in our civilization where the absurd has become the norm and the norm is becoming the absurd.

The obvious insanity of allowing gays into scouting is so completely absurd, that the absurdity is lost in all the noise — The intent behind why the scouts exist in the first place is lost in defending the morals and values associated with scouting - It is insane.

Troops can decide whether to allow openly gay leaders....for now.

Remember there is a way to keep open gays out of your Scout troop. Just tell them the truth about homosexuality. They won’t tolerate that at all.

Based on watching TV, movies, and reading the mainstream media, I would estimate the “gay” population to be at least 45 to 50 percent of the entire population, right? I mean they are everywhere in everything.

So why don’t they start their own “BSA” and only allow gay members? How hard could that be? Children of gay couples, gaily frolicking in the woods with their gay scoutmasters learning all about gayness and gaiety ... earning merit badges for all manner of gay things, sporting fashionable uniforms, and singing songs about gay life and gay activities.

Wouldn’t this be preferable to joining in with the homophobes, wearing those drab old clothes, and learning about God and country?

Come on, Gay Vanguard!!! You don’t need the BSA. Apply your talents and overwhelming numbers to forming your own Gay Scouts of America. Do it, for the children!!!

Put your money where your mouth is. It is Friends of Scouting time. Between now and March is when the councils ask for private and corporate donations to the Scouting Program. Please drop A line to the Boy Scouts of America and let them know how you feel. Please consider also calling your local council and let them know as well.

Add to that, the UNited way must have given them some serious coin as there is a new merit badge that will be on the Eagle Required list called Sustainability.

I called the Austin (TX) area council and asked if they were supporting this homosexual agenda nonsense. The staffer said, "We're in limbo". I couldn't believe it. I told her that, unfortunately, Boy Scouts would soon take on a whole, new meaning. Disgusting.
