Editors note: The following is the text of a letter written by Leila Beckwith and Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, co-founders of the AMCHA Initiative, to UC Davis Chancellor Linda Katehi regarding the universitys silence and inaction in the face of anti-Jewish hostility during a recent student protest.
As you know, we are faculty members at the University of California, who have been investigating and documenting anti-Jewish bigotry on California public university campuses for the last several years.
We are writing to you now to express our serious concern regarding an incident that occurred during a student protest on November 19, 2012, during which UCD students occupied an administration building on campus. We believe that numerous violations of state and federal law and university policy may have occurred at the event. To our knowledge, your administration has neither acknowledged nor addressed these violations.
In addition, it appears that at least 5 university administrators, including the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, were present and witnessed much of this behavior, yet they did not take action to ensure the safety of the students who were targets of possible assault and hate crimes. Please see below for an account of the events as well as the federal and state laws and university policies which were potentially violated as a result of them.

HILARIOUS! Too much of a p*$$y to intervene; probably thought they would get their ass kicked!
I think it’s worst at UC Santa Cruz or San Francisco State —radical Arabs there can scream act violently. They do it on a very regular basis.
I also have seen goons from the Nation of Islam handing out racist pamphlets in the University Union.
More likely that the university administrators are just defining "hate crime" depending on who is involved.
These days, attacking a Jew on campus is not a hate crime. It is an free-speech expression of solidarity with the Palestinians.
Do you think these young Jewish students are ready to join the JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership)?
I hope the JPFO capitalizes on this opportunity. It would be excellent to see the DemonRAT party lose the Jewish vote.
Folks . . . Good luck with that.
Looks like the Jewish students better start hanging in packs to defend themselves. Muslims are cowards and will flee anytime they are confronted with a fair fight. Strength in numbers.
Why not. Maybe it's time for campus group.
They reject help from conservatives and wonder why no one else cares. Losers.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.
