You can bet your a$$ that buried somewhere in the actual legal language of the bill, or planned for implementation of the law in state agency rules will be a directive to certain business to turn over copies of certain Federal Forms they now hold. Those forms being the Forms 4473 the gun purchasers used when LEGALLY purchasing the guns in the first place. It is the only way they can find out who has what and enforce the confiscation.
Good thinking but that’s already prohibited by Federal law-———————not that Cuomo and friends actually know what the rules really are. I mean, they already have trouble understanding that “-—shall not be infringed.” part.
Im pretty sure the state cant, w/o a warrant, compel an FFL to produce any 4473s. If I were an FFL Id have already contacted by lawyer about this. In fact I think Id store my 4473 in a location not easily found that was secure.
