I've got a simple idea: Let's give up on the Constitution.
I know, it sounds radical, but it's really not. Constitutional disobedience is as American as apple pie.
For example, most of our greatest Presidents -- Jefferson, Lincoln, Wilson, and both Roosevelts -- had doubts about the Constitution, and many of them disobeyed it when it got in their way.
To be clear, I don't think we should give up on everything in the Constitution. The Constitution has many important and inspiring provisions, but we should obey these because they are important and inspiring, not because a bunch of people who are now long-dead favored them two centuries ago.
Unfortunately, the Constitution also contains some provisions that are not so inspiring. For example, one allows a presidential candidate who is rejected by a majority of the American people to assume office. Suppose that Barack Obama really wasn't a natural-born citizen. So what?

If I didn’t know CBS was a responsible and respected news outlet I’d suspect they were taunting us.
The constitution has an amendment provision. If the profession thinks we are better off without certain provisions of the document then he is welcome to try and convince enough to amend it.
Well its not like they don’t all know the guy is ineligible. I’m sure every one of our illustrious 535 elected legislators and 9 Supreme Court Justices also know it.
What’s matter now???
Imagine that. For some reason the founding fathers didn't cotten to the idea of mob rule.
We are being setup for something or many things.

Mornon probably thinks that the 3/5ths thing should have been left out so that the south would have counted each slave as a citizen thus allowing the south to OWN the house of representin’ ... It would have prevented the civil war you know and we probably would have still have slavery....
Gee, that would have been swell cause SEE B.S. said so.
I’m seeing a full court press by the Regime and their media lackies in the last few weeks denigrating and downplaying the US Constitution.
We are being setup for something or many things.
They hate the constitution soo damn muchm, maybe they should be the first to leave the union, the red states won’t stop them.
We would have to create a new national capital though, I am thinking somehwere in Texas or Montana.

SUNDAY MORNING is an excellent show which I usually watch with my wife, and we record it for later viewing which is usually the way we see it. Yesterday’s show is on our DVR list, but I haven’t seen it yet. I will now. You didn’t give
much info on who or what was said specifically, but I never noticed that show to have ANY political bias, or deal with those subjects at all.
Yeah, but that amendment process is part of the “fixed” set of rules that the leftist elite don’t want to abide by in the first place,
so they reject that out of hand.
Much better if they are simply empowered to make their arbitrary decisions based on their superior intellectual and moral standing.
It's not surprising that a law professor from an elitist establishment university is anti-American. These elitists hold a view that is more popular and mainstream with every passing election. I'm sure he believes the Constitution is impeding Obama's needed "progress".
The very facts of BHO's presidency are themselves the greatest argument in favor of requiring loyalty as a condition of presidential candidacy. But now what? If we as a nation are willing to overlook one inconvenient part of the Constitution, then why isn't it acceptable to overlook other unpopular provisions? Their boldness to make such a treasonous appeal is bolstered by the current gun debate.
Our weak Republican leaders are grooming a non-NBC candidate of their own for the office -- neither of his parents were citizens at the time of his birth. Now he's advancing "immigration reform". You know who he is.
In Texas you would need to convince a large part of the electorate to relocate to another region. Austin, Houston, and Dallas are loaded with Obama's 47% ers.

Take away their “programs” (in the case of sheeperals)
and their ability to meddle/control other people’s lives (in the case of the elitists)
and they’ll voluntarily emigrate.
That is so when Obama uses an Executive Order to outlaw guns, they can claim the Constitution is all wrong and washed up and Obama is right because he cares.
Oops, my post was not meant for you specifically, but for ALL.
Could something be in the wind here? Putting out feelers if such was the case.?
