Comments are interesting. One in particular which states that restaurant owners were saving money so they can pay for Obamacare has by far the most negative reviews - thumbs down. Would suspect that most of these people are young and don’t require much in the way of medical care. Those that don’t want to pay the freight should just eat in another nearby city, it’s not like there are no restaurants in that part of the country. Or they might try a more novel approach, like eating at home.

In December, we went to dinner at a restaurant off Union Square in SF and when the bill came there was an additional 4% charge for “employer mandates”. There wasn’t any notification ahead of time about the additional charges that would be tacked onto the bill.

P.S. They’ve also outlawed businesses giving people free bags for their purchases but you can buy them for $1.

I do everything I can to avoid going to Frisco (Friscans just HATE it when you call Frisco Frisco). I think that I have been there only twice in the last two decades (Two more times if you count the baseball park). I spend as little money as I can, and as little time as I can.

I also avoid the East Bay (especially Berkely, where they were so evil and mean to USMC recruiters in their once-fair city.)
