Yeah let’s get rid of that doggone “freedom of the press” thing, it’s so outdated. Everyone now knows that the truth doesn’t matter and CBW et al are just mouthpieces for tyrants.
So let’s get rid of that, what could the Framers have known 200 years ago about Cronkite and Rather, right?

Fortunately, the framers of the Constitution had a heck of a lot more intelligence and common sense than he has. Without the Constitution as a framework for republican government and the supreme law of the land, there would never have been a United States as we know it (or more accurately as we knew it). Instead, we would be just like any other of the many dictatorships that have been the curse of mankind throughout recorded history, rather than a uniquely benign society devoted to liberty, prosperity and dignity of the citizen.
What difference does it make if Obama isn't a natural born citizen? Hey, Seidman, just look around you. The framers of the Constitution sensed that a President without unquestioned American roots might well act counter to the interests of the United States, and, as Obama's rash disregard for the country and its Constitution has proved, the framers had keen foresight.

I can see some advantages here.
The US Constitution is the charter document of the United States. You join the USA by signing on to it. End the Constitution, you dissolve the Union.
Since there is little common ground left, it would be nice if red and blue could go their own ways.

A HEARTY AMEN TO THAT BROTHER!!! Even on FR some have raised the suggestion of a “con-con” lately. I delight in going on record as considering that to be a very, very misguided idea.
When you have a prescription for a medicine that is known to have worked without fail for over two hundred years anytime it is used why on Earth would you throw it away and demand that a new prescription be written in a committee meeting open to every kind of quack in existence?
Our problem is a gangster government that refuses to recognize any kind of limits, how can people imagine that that problem can be fixed by changing the nature of the limits that they refuse to obey? If you draw a line in the sand and the bully steps over it do you simply draw another line? To me it is mind-boggling that anyone could seriously suggest that we ought to do this. This seems so obvious that I don’t even consider it a matter of opinion unless you consider the sunrise to be a matter of opinion.
Can you imagine a Constitution rewrite by Pelosi, Obama and a few RINOs? Granted we have quite a few red states out there. However i would see nothing good coming out of it from our perspective. These liberals are on a transformation roll. Whats next? Immigration and gun control. Then VAT and global warming taxes. We have no one fighting for us.
