Only Rebellion Can Save America

Only Rebellion Can Save America

The US federal government has strayed so far from the Constitution and the rule of law that it can now be considered rogue and illegitimate.

Written by Lawrence Sellin

The thoroughly irresponsible rate of government spending projected over the next twenty-five years will drive federal debt to unsustainable levels. The country is heading for a financial meltdown and economic ruin.

The Republican Party is inept and impotent and cannot provide the necessary political opposition to the crimes and unconstitutional policies of the Obama regime or stand against the rampant voter fraud which is now polluting the electoral process. There is a report claiming that the Republican Party signed a legal agreement with the Democrat Party in 1982 not to pursue suspected vote fraud. If there is no guarantee of election integrity, then elections become only window dressing for tyranny.

Barack Obama is an illegal President and unindicted felon. Congress, the American media and the courts are engaged in a criminal conspiracy to conceal their complicity in perpetrating the Obama fraud on the American people. Law enforcement and our elected officials have chosen to risk the survival of the country rather than risk the truth.

According to recent reports, Obama continues to use a Social Security Number (SSN) not issued to him, in the process, committing numerous counts of social security fraud. The SSN Obama uses, issued in Connecticut, a state where he never lived, does not pass a check with E-Verify, the electronic system the U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has created to verify whether or not prospective employees have the required authorization to work legally in the United States. It appears that the SSN Obama uses, was actually issued to a Harrison J. Bounel, born in 1890. Once issued, a SSN is never reissued to another individual. Why isn’t any of that evidence investigated? It is because Barack Obama is protected by a dishonest media and criminally complicit federal officials and, unlike ordinary Americans, he is above the law.

The US no longer has representative government. Members of Congress seek election not to uphold the Constitution and serve the American people, but to obtain power and to use that power to accrue professional and financial benefits for themselves and their major supporters. All the traditional means for the American people to seek the redress of grievances have now been blocked by a corrupt government composed of a self-absorbed permanent political elite unaccountable to the people.

The status quo is no longer defensible. Unless there is a significant reversal soon, it is only a matter of time that a catastrophe will be upon us, which will inevitably lead to national collapse and fragmentation.

All unconstitutional and unlawful policies of the Obama regime must be opposed, obstructed and undermined. The Democrat Party and their radical left-wing supporters must be aggressively and continuously confronted. The Republican Party must be defunded and its leadership replaced. The purveyors of disinformation and propaganda represented by most of the mainstream media must be professionally destroyed.

A county by county battle is the means by which the American people can restore the Constitution, establish responsible fiscal policies and take back control of the political process and the government. Patriots need to organize locally outside of the party apparatus to exert political pressure and prepare for armed defense, if necessary. No county officials, in particular the Sheriff, should be elected or maintained in office, who do not fully honor their oath to support and defend the Constitution.

Fundamental to this effort are the rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment. Each county should establish elements of an organized and disciplined Constitutional Army with sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence and individual liberty from anyone who might attempt to abuse them.

It is indeed ironic that the Mexican border made maximally porous by the Obama regime may become the route of choice for weapon and ammunition resupply, a Fast and Furious in reverse, capable of making gun control about as successful as the national prohibition of alcohol (1920-33), another failed “noble experiment” undertaken to reduce crime and solve social problems.

Efforts should be directed towards decreasing the influence of the federal government in county affairs, cooperating with federal officials and agencies only when it benefits local citizens. Counties should maximize the consumption of federal resources and overburdening federal agencies administratively while at the same time reducing or delaying taxes paid to the federal government. County residents should forcefully shun, oppose or drive out of business, individuals or media outlets, which support the criminal Obama regime.

“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did, and it never will. Find out just what people will submit to, and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.” — Frederick Douglass, August 4, 1857.

All goes into flux at that point and the law of in intended consequences takes over. A clearly articulated and led political alternative is needed first.

If you read the essay, you’ll note that the Colonel has already dismissed elections as a means to an end. The election process in this country is corrupted to the point of failure, and I believe we’ll see how truly bad it has become in 2014, if we make it that far.

“When Injustice becomes Law, Resistance becomes Duty.” Thomas Jefferson.

Jefferson said a lot of things that were pertinent back in the day, and those same words — and the above is just one quote — are more pertinent today, because the assault on freedom is so much more intolerable today than it was in the 1770s. George III was a benign benefactor compared to Obama and his minions.

The messiness of revolutions isn’t limited to physical violence. Societies convulse as well.

We revolted, in part, against Great Britain because colonial administration did not provide for civil means to redress our grievances.

Our wise Framers provided those means, of peaceful redress. First among them is the fact that the people are represented.

Let’s say we fight and win. Then what? The same corrupted populace will remain. Will they demand a return to the Constitution?

Don’t bet on it.

It really is surreal, how much the country seems to be rapidly re-configuring itself into a one-party rule. You have the media transforming from age-old liberal biases to becoming an all-out “partner” to Obama and his agenda, while the GOP has all but given up being a genuine “opposition” party, capitulating and even colluding on every issue from budgets to amnesty to just about everything.

This one-party rule is a paradigm that leads to tyranny. Always. And very, very quickly. We’re at an incredibly dangerous stage.

And if so, the good news is that there would be no one left alive to work for and therefore sustain the 47% who will not work to feed and house and clothe themselves.

Then the Statists will have the unpleasant duty of trying to force them to work. And the entirety will collapse completely.

America will be a political ghost town and the first one in gets to stake their flag.

Remembering Waco, Ruby Ridge and before that Kent State, I don’t see a scenario where Americans would sacrifice to interrupt their sports TV watching, shopping, talking and texting on cellphones (women), and Twitter tweeting in order to engage in a rebellion. Recall that they (”we”) wouldn’t do that to seriously consider our choices during the past election, despite hard times, gasoline prices twice what they were 4 years earlier, food prices going up, effective unemployment at 15%, and so on. Don’t bug me now, I’m watching Okrah!

It seems that there is a race to implode the US. The Leftists want a gradual implosion that results in a relatively smooth transition to a police state. The Left is implementing an incremental loss of 2A, 1A, and 4A, that way, there will be a weaker consensus for resistance. Publicly financed PR campaigns against guns, against hate speech bully comfortable moderates conservatives in to PC submission. TSA groin checks at airports and new check points are getting the plebs used to tyranny.
However, a rapid implosion will result in an over-reach and backlash. The, we at least might have a chance.

It is precisely love of country which motivates the desire to avoid the Colonel’s conclusion.
Our Country was founded on ideas- bold ideas. Those ideas/ideals are being stolen (BHO 2nd Inagural Address) and turned into something quite different. This battle needs to be waged on an intellectual front. I refuse to believe the citizens of this country are that far gone that they cannot be convinced through passionate argumentation. I’ll admit it’s an uphill struggle, but I’m not ready to give up on it, or them.

As over wrought as Sellin appears today, what he said here is no less applicable than were the pre-revolution writings of our key founding fathers.

Yes indeed.

Perhaps a quote from Common Sense ll

The future of this great nation is imperiled as it has not been since the revolutionary war. Slowly, ever so slowly, our freedoms have evaporated into the air of a slow motion tyranny. As Americans this was the only way to conquer us—so slowly that most of us accepted a “small” encroachment here and a “small” encroachment there, as necessary to satisfy the ever increasing hunger of the statist.

I agree that the First Republic is coming to an end.

I blame Congress as much, if not more, than Obama. Obama is a symptom of the crisis, Congress' failure to protect their exclusive legislative powers and their inability to manage the value of money IS the crisis.

In any event, because something has to change, it will. A cursory acquaintance with history suggests a Sulla, or a Cromwell. We were very lucky with GEN Washington.

Gestures of rebellion with the US Armed Forces on the other side, while gallant, are futile. As pointed out by ouchthatonehurt, there is a lot of political work to be done before the inflection point.

There must be a disloyal political movement. By disloyal, I mean a political movement that renounces the legitimacy of Congress' acts of pretended legislation and that denies their right to rule. This movement must not be armed - that's ANOTHER movement's job. Members of our movement elected to Congress will refuse to take their seats, but they will not face arrest.

As the rightness of the movement becomes better known, the righteousness of armed resistance will be understood by more than could understand it today.

The goal is to expel the corrupt occupation regime and to replace it with a legal, constitutional government. People who think that can be accomplished by patriot rifle squads fighting the US Army and Marine Corps are not engaged with reality.

Agreed.

Just as the left wants to “nudge” Americans to the progressive side, we can “nudge”, as well.

I enjoyed hearing that a gun show locally had huge lines, today—lines no one had ever experienced before at a show.

Don’t think that congresscritters don’t fear this. Don’t think that politicians don’t fear this. Instead of us becoming mind-numbed robots to their propaganda, people are worrying and mistrusting the MSM-—and ARMING themselves, not only with means of self defense, but food, water and most importantly—intelligence. The “progressive’s” biggest mistake is in believing the conservative American people are as stupid as their followers.

No one in their right mind believes the media’s lies, or the pResident’s, for that matter. People are gearing up. (the smart people...the others, well...Bath-House can take care of them; but, don’t expect those a-holes to get off the couch and fight.)

No, the populace will not remain the same.

For many, the portion of the populace that openly has supported this regime will be primary targets. It’s a matter of eliminating liabilities and preserving assets.

We do not want an armed rebellion, as many millions will die. This has to happen without violence if at all possible.
