Sarah Palin Out At Fox News Channel

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel are parting ways, according to a report in Real Clear Politics. After three years as a paid contributor for the channel, FNC and the former Republican vice presidential nominee have decided to cut ties.

A source close to Palin told Real Clear Politics that it was the governor’s decision not to renew their contract.

*“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

Excellent! And somewhat expected. I’m glad to see Palin leave that sinking ship. FoxNews can be content with Rove and Kucinich, who seem a better fit, considering the putrid direction the network been heading.

Used to be a big viewer, but I’d just about entirely given up watching any of FoxNews anyway. I’d tune in for Palin appearances and occasionally keep an eye out for Michelle Malkin, but other than that, it’s become worthless. After the 2010 mid-terms, it became an obnoxious mouthpiece for the GOP beltway elites, and since the election, it’s apparently even jumped on the gun-control and open-border amnesty bandwagons!

“Palin has been out of the loop a long time now.”

That is a good thing, as it is easier to effect change when not in someone’s gun sights, figuratively speaking.

24 I may be one of the few, I agree with Palin on lots but when she quit as Gov. due to the “press” she quite being a viable candidate to me. ...

Agreed. It is apparent to me that she has not invested her time in becoming more informed. I wish her and her family well. She is great as a cheerleader, and I mean that positively, but she does not have gravitas. The media crucified Gingrich. I don't see her overcoming them in a campaign.

“I hope we do see more of her. The Demos hate her probably because she appeals to their low info crowd. We should have used her more during the campaign. She is a very talented asset.”

Used her more? She should have ran and we should have told the MSM to mind their own business on who we want to nominate for President.

But alas, we didn’t and we saw what the MSM gave us. John McCain lite.

I’m sorry but you are clueless!!! Sarah didn’t resign because of the press, she resign because the democrats were trying to bankrupt her by filling frivilous and fake ethical charges against her. She said that the time to personally defend herself legally well over 20 charges and more that were coming was taking a toll on the state business. The Republicans there hated her and didn’t want to come to her aid either. She sacrifice herself so that the State could move forward. You are embarrassing

The media crucified Gingrich.
They crucified him twice, once when he was speaker,
then again during the nomination process, he still
ran.

Mrs.Palin and her entire family were dragged over
the coals to the point it was affecting her job
as governer, she chose to step down to allow
the state to continue. She will still run...
and with our help WIN!

I certainly don’t count her out, she owes them for
what they did to her as they say, success is the
best revenge.

Palin UNCHAINED !!!

If you have noticed the few idiots who have messed with her since she acquired serious coin have met with swift and serious resistance from high dollar attorneys.

I agree, I was very disappointed in Sarah when she stepped down as Gov of Alaska.

Please don’t give me the reasons I have heard them over and over and I am still disappointed in her that she could not figure out a way. As much as her supporters love her I don’t remember hearing her asking for help fighting her attackers.

I am sorry she didn’t ask because I would have donated money to help keep her viable.

Hm. She had a legal defense fund that was challenged by the same Dems who tried to bankrupt her and shut down by a judge because it had the word "official" in it.

Pretty much all her real supporters know this. Guess it just slipped your mind.

“Political operatives descended on Alaska last August, digging for dirt. The ethics law I championed became their weapon of choice. Over the past nine months I’ve been accused of all sorts of frivolous ethics violations - such as holding a fish in a photograph, wearing a jacket with a logo on it, and answering reporters’ questions” S.Palin

If you can not defend your self from the frivolous ethics violations and reporters questions then you really do not belong in the big chair.

She did. She set up a defense fund, written by the sharpest, most expert DC lawyers. I donated to it. But still, the same outlandish operatives bankrupting her got a judge to quash it. It was absolutely insane. The frivilous lawsuits were coming at a pace of almost two a week by the end, and had Palin stayed in office, she and her family would have been up to $2-million in debt. All the while, the press was headlining each and every lawsuit, deliberately conveying the idea that she was the most corrupt politician living.

All the while, just like when her church was torched, and her kids were being dragged through the tabloid mud, and these operatives were bankrupting her, the GOP leadership didn’t lift a finger to help her. Heck, I recall the RNC even sent her a bill, charging her for her own ‘vetting!’

Sarah had been getting lots of tweets on twitter from people telling her to leave Fox..ever since they hired Kucinich it was pretty obvious the direction Fox was going..she made the right choice by leaving

Now I’ve only been calling Alaska home for twenty some years, but Palin was the best, most ethical, open, responsible, and fairest Governor to all Alaskans regardless of party that I have experienced up here. I voted for Parnell, but he ain’t no Palin; I really wish she’d stayed on as Governor and accomplished even more for Alaska. I don’t blame her for looking higher, but I also know how good she really was and how much she is really needed, more today than ever.
